Don’t really disagree in your statement. So does this mean the Sixers will draft Ace Bailey? If so then we choose between two guards, cause they’re the best available talents at 4. Which would be your choice JMAC3 and why? Not being snarky just interested in who you think fits best if the player you described (assume Ace) is already taken.
I think Ace and Tre have the most star power of the three, so yes if I were Philly I would go with one of those guys. I think since they already have Maxey/McCain/Grimes I would take Ace who is a great understudy for Paul George and gives them the most balance. Also, Ace could play the 4 for Philly and provide weakside rim protection - which they lacked last year with a smaller team around Embiid.
For Charlotte, yes I think Tre has the higher ceiling if Ace is drafted 3rd. Tre could become a Tyler Herro, Brad Beal, CJ McCollum type of 2 guard who has enough handle to slide into a larger on ball role or play off the ball and shoot it at high level. He is much bigger than those 3 players as well which is intriguing. Tre is an elite shooter too so I think he can be used like a Klay, Buddy, Duncan Robinson type of off-screen shooter as well if you wanted to tone down his offensive role on the ball and would provide gravity to the offense around LaMelo and Miller.
VJ offense is a mixed bag, meh shooter, meh finishing, meh passer, meh ball handler. I think he has the right mentality to improve at all those but until that happens I just don't see him being much of an impact on that end. I actually think Queen and Fears ceiling is higher than VJ, but I would probably value the floor of VJ at least being an athletic energy guy a bit more than Fears or Queen who might be more scoring pop off the bench if things don't work out for them.
