I think any decision to sign Lance requires a commitment to making him a star with The Hornets Leaving the Pacers would not be easy; he won't do it for an average contract. It will require signing him to a quality offer...not max money but very good. I believe he has the right stuff to be a star. He needs to mature, and I think this group would be a very good influence for that.
Decisions on free agency will be critical to our draft process. Lance has as much talent as anyone available. Monroe might be the next best option. Deng would be a reach relative to his ceiling and future contribution to the current squad. Win now is not "win a championship now", so our target must be young enough to impact years downstream.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.
