After each game will will vote for the Hammer of the Game Awards (Bobcats players only). The voting will be open for 24 hours after the end of each game (or longer if i am being lazy). Fans from the opposing teams are encouraged to vote, just remember the vote is for the best Bobcats (even if your team beats us by 30).

Points
Gold Hammer (3) = best player of the game
Silver Hammer (2) = second best player of the game
Bronze Hammer (1) = third best player of the game

Player with the most points gets a gold hammer, player with the second most points get a silver hammer and the player with the third most points gets a bronze hammer. In the event of a tie, both players will be awarded the higher hammer for win and the lower hammer for losses. If two players tie for a bronze in a loss, only the gold and silver will be awarded (I just cant justify 4 hammers for a loss).

Gold Hammer = 3pts
Silver Hammer = 2pts
Bronze Hammer = 1pt

- Votes must be clear and follow the points listed above with 3 being the best (and so forth)
- Votes must have a best, second best and third best. If you do not list 3 players, your vote will not count. If you list more than 3 players, your vote will not count. If you list a tie, your vote will not count. Votes for anything other than our players, will not count.

there has been another call for having an award for the worst player of the game... "the brown frown"

ive always been interested in doing something like this, but i was just never sure how to incorporate it.

anyway, lets try this out for a few games and see how its goes. so after each game, vote for your "brown frown award". if there is a clear winner we will give that player a dirty brown frown in their overall tally.

"clear winner" defined as = must have a minimum of 3 votes to qualify.

more rules as i make them up.

Ohhhh I see the Larry Brown hate continues. Really perplexing when you consider all the great coaches act in the same fashion towards their players. Rick Carlisle, Pat Riley, Phil Jackson...all these great coaches are nasty SOB's. You guys would be whining like little babies if Pat Riley coached here.

Has it been confirmed or not that Battery is Larry Brown's nephew?

I don't hate Larry Brown.

I just recognize there's a problem when a senior citizen f*cks faster than his offense scores.

I hope you don't mind that I've kind of taken your idea and implemented it into the HEAT board. It's not called the Hammer award lol, but it is a great idea that you've come up with.

I was thinking, shouldn't the "Brown Frown" subtract a point away from a players totals? I think that would give it a more substantial meaning.

congrats to gerald henderson who will be the hammer winner for 2011-12, 9 point lead over kemba with only 2 games to play.

kemba has 2nd place wrapped up, based on steady play and staying healthy (which in itself is worthy of a mention)

third place is technically still up for grabs between mullens and brown. brown has been earning hammers faster than anyone on the roster for the past month so i wouldnt count him out.

fifth place sees a dead tie between biyombo and augustin.

and in last place for worst bobcat of the year we have a two way battle between higgins and diop. may the worst man win.

I'd say that the Brown frown is something we should stick to. It might seem like we forgot it during the season, but it's just that half of our team was terrible on most nights and Boris got traded. Him receiving the award five times, pretty much displays how he was the most disappointing Bobcat this season.

I hope we're better next year, so we can spend our time bashing only the likes of Carroll and Gana. I predict Matt going in to double digits in brown frowns next season.

You only get a hammer or a frown if you get enough minutes to be memorable. I hope matt doesn't get that many minutes.

On the Knicks forum, Larry Brown got the nickname Mr. Magoo.
