Making the HOF is the least of his worries. Getting off the couch without help at 31 y/o is the real struggle for him now. At least he's got the Kendrick Perkins MPV award to look at while he waits for his one friend to come around and help him up.

This is a mean-spirited comment that shows zero empathy for the real challenges athletes face. While I completely reject Perkins' inappropriate racial narrative around MVP voting, which was not only wrong but damaged basketball discourse, using potential health issues as a punchline is just cruel. Many former players struggle with serious physical problems after retirement - that deserves our understanding and respect, not mockery.

I agree with you on 99% of the cases but when the person we're talking about has made falling down every possession the way he plays the game, sits out against though matchups when healthy and plays whilst injured against the softest teams in the league to boost his stats just to get that Perkins award then he can get to fck. You reap what you sow. And I'm allowed to say it how it is after the fact.

Popularity isn't how the HOF should decide to let in players, but the HOF is already full of players who shouldn't be there, so what is one more?

Saying Embiid was ever healthy is honestly a bit of a stretch.

The
Hall
of
Fame
Shouldn't care about popularity?

Saying Embiid was ever healthy is honestly a bit of a stretch.
Yeah he spent more time on the floor foul baiting than he did on two feet. A disgrace to the game of basketball. Never a leader despite his skills and the fact that Silver wanted to make him the face of the NBA. He chose to play injured to puff up his stats, he can live with the consequences.

Embiid has been struggling with injuries since college. Go cry about his play style separately from this.

I know he was a gimp before he came into the NBA. You're proving my point here pal. The way he played the game was a discrace to the game itself. And he only got away with it because Silver needed a new face for the league. But he backed the wrong horse.

I don't give a crap how he plays the game. It doesn't change the reality that he's always been hurt which is all I said.
