We think he's going to be in the HOF because of what he did throughout his career, like previous all-star appearances, championships, finals mvp, international **** etc. etc. etc.

Him not making the All-Star team isn't really a knock on him. There are just too many great guards in the West.

i completely agree. he didnt actually win finals mvp, but ginobili has won on the most competitive levels. mvps in the spanish league, mvp in the euroleague, championships in the euro league and the Olympic gold medal. probabily the front runner for 6th man before parker went down forcing him to start.

i also agree that him not making it this year is no knock on him, him baron and williams all deserved it imo. ginobili is a winner at every level hes competed on and i see no reason why he wont make it. but he was a former allstar so he still has that on his resume.

Based on his NBA career he wouldn't get in. I don't believe he's ever made an NBA 1st or 2nd team, or any NBA Defensive team. He's only started 224 of his 411 games in the association, he only shoots 45% on his career, (even lower in the playoffs) he's only made one all star game, he averages 14/4/4/ on his career.

As far as his international play, let's see what he does against an actual MOTIVATED team USA this Summer. Sure he looked good the past few years while we were just throwing teams together and assuming we would win on reputation alone, but I think he will look painfully average in this years Olympics as the USA smashes everything Argentina and the reast of the Globe stand for. His international "legacy " will be forever tarnished when LeBron, Kobe, Dwight, Amare, Kidd, Paul, Deron and company take him and his nations manhood in the middle of the court this Summer.

right now, as of today, hes headed that way.

he is stepping up his game, and he is looking more as the reason that the spurs are the team to beat to get to the finals.

should they make it there, i have no doubt they win it. but its the struggle before the finals that will be the dog fight.

50s Minneapolis Lakers
60s Boston Celtics
80s Los Angeles Lakers/Boston Celtics
90s Chicago Bulls
00s Los Angeles Lakers

Outside the Spurs, those are the only teams winning 3+ championships with the same core, and all these teams have/will have multiple HOFers in their teams.
There's no way Duncan is going to get all the credit for so much success, Ginobili and Parker are going to get in too.

There is already several players in the Hall that never played a minute of basketball against NBA players (let alone of the caliber that you mentioned)
Argentina could lose by 60 against Team USA and it would not affect his international legacy at all.

so the US wasnt motivated playing the WC at home in 02? wasnt motivated to beat the team that punked them at home in athens 04? what nba team do you root for? i imagine they have a motivation problem too, right? why isnt lebronze, duncan, ai, amare, boozer, pierce, brand, reggie miller, and wade's legacy tarnished for getting beat by a team led by a substitue averaging 14/4/4 + a couple nba role players and some dudes playing in the argentinean league??? you cant have it both ways.

i can't wait to see what your excuse will be if the US loses this year.

if manu wins another olympics, or 1-2 more titles with the spurs, he is a lock to get in.
