Baron Davis should come to Toronto. We could use him as a 2.

He will threaten to opt out, but since he has no leverage, he will return to play out the final year of his deal at $17 million with the Warriors, and become an unrestricted free agent next season.

The one thing that is absolutely clear is the Warriors will NOT give into his contract demands.

Exactly right. Why should the Warriors extend his contract now? Even next year when he is unrestricted, he won't have much leverage because not that many teams have cap room. So he can:
a) plan on the full MLE
b) maybe a sign/trade, or
c) a cheap offer by the Warriors for something above the MLE but waaay below what he's trying to get right now.

None of these options produce a near MAX deal which I'm sure he is asking for now.
