I understand the points some are making, I've made it myself, where a few players being out due to Covid is something a team has to deal with, but with nine players out for the Bulls it is getting dangerous for opponents, too.
So if a team can't field enough players, does it forfeit the game now?
I wonder if the league will step in and say, no Bulls can't play because they're too contagious. Have there been players from other teams who have tested positive after playing the Bulls?
Why can’t they just bring up G League players?
Sure they can. That's one solution. But if like amcoolio noted earlier the league determines that the Bulls are spreading to other players, or the spread among the Bulls - or whichever team, I don't want to emphasize or isolate just one - is due to negligence then I wonder whether the league should step in?
I guess forfeiting is one option - again, not sure if I recall this correctly. No games have been forfeited yet. But then again, having a team full of G-Leaguers pretty much all but guarantees the same result. Still, if the balance of playing out the games versus spreading danger tilts towards the latter, what does the league do if Team A has been deemed responsible through contact tracing?
