This MVP race might be an all timer honestly, literally everyone of the Top 5 except Jokic has started out on fire, and you know Jokic will get better as he gets... hopefully less fat.
If Chet can play more like this SGA is going to get a lot of extra wins in the win column on some of the other guys, once again. That last game makes you wonder if he is an Most Improved Player candidate, but then he stinks it up like the Pacers game and you get confused.
Shai is 17-24, 70.8 %, from 10-16 feet, guarded by top 5 DPOY candidates for 2 of the games in Amen Thompson and Dyson Daniels and with a very high usage.
Luka is 11-11 from 10-16 feet. And both have not yet hit their best averages on 3pt %, so there is more to come...
nice catch. nembhardt is another stud defender. pretty much a murderer's row sga went through.
through first three games i don't see anyone playing at wembenyama's level currently in the nba so i think he should be the front runner of the race.
but the season has 82 games and i don't see any team better positioned for a stronger post asg run than okc. pretty much like last season, they'll give tons of opportunities to inexperienced guys that aren't #1 seed level, tons of conservative medical restrictions and injuries... i bet they'll finish the regular season even stronger than 2024-25.
i think they should be the two man front. sparky stat lines will keep luka doncic afloat but i don't see him edging wembenyama.
