Anyone care to give me a run down of what happened in the 2nd half so i don't have to read 100 pages of fan reactions and insults?
KARL Anthony Towns dominated the third quarter. He outplayed Jokic at both ends. McDaniels seemed to hit every corner three.

Chuck Everett wrote:We need to let the playoffs play out, but if the Wolves win the championship, it will change the narrative on this Nuggets team more than likely. To me, they just got beat by a better team. No excuses can be made. This board was slandering Rudy Gobert the entire series and in the end, it was the Wolves defense, the reason he was brought to the franchise (#1 in the league) that ousted the champs.

I guess the only way for Rudy to beat the slander with this bunch is for them to hoist the Larry O'Brien.
Rudy played his ass off today.

Where was Aaron Gordon when Minnesota executed the big-to-big passes? Gobert getting the Nuggets in the penalty early was crucial.

I said it before and I will say it again. When Ant said “the have KD, but we have Jaden McDaniels,” he was both a poet and a prophet. They have Luka, but we have Jaden.
I don't know his contract status, but I know the Timberwolves need to lock him and Reid in long term ASAP.

Jaden is under contract for the next 5 years, with no player option. Naz is under contract next year then has a player option in 25-26 (we will use bird rights to keep him.)

I wonder if we've ever had this scheme of the road team in a series winning the first 2 games, then drop the middle 3, then win the last 2 including game 7 on the road. Anybody know of a precedent?

Based on how Kobe treated people in Colorado previously, I’d say he hated Coloradans more

I might be mistaken, but I think the Minnesota Twins won both of their WS following that scheme. Nope, the Twins had home field advantage both times

Actually, they did beat a 50-win team: the Clippers... If you look at the percentages.

Recall the 2019-20 season was interrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic so we didn't get a full 82-game season. Some teams played an average 71 games while those teams who were in the lottery only got to play at the most 65 games. This is why many people disputed the 2020 NBA Bubble Resumption when it regards competitiveness: no evenness in games, neutral court, zero fans. To make the playoffs work, they basically opted to adopt their percentages as seeding determinant. Here's the western conference record featuring the Bubble Record and an 82-game conversion:

1. Los Angeles Lakers: 52-19 (.732) = 60-22
2. Los Angeles Clippers: 49-23 (.681) = 56-26
3. Denver Nuggets: 46-27 (.630) = 52-30
4. Houston Rockets: 44-28 (.611) = 50-32
5. Oklahoma City Thunder: 44-28 (.611) = 50-32
6. Utah Jazz: 44-28 (.611) = 50-32
7. Dallas Mavericks: 43-32 (.573) = 46-36
8. Portland Trail Blazers: 35-39 (.473) = 39-43

Magical things always happens...

But yeah, it's just one of those things where you have to look at things in a different way.

I mean, good luck to the Wolves. Every other team that has beaten the Nuggets since 2020 has either won the championship or gone to 6 games in the Finals. I just don't see this Minnesota team having that amount of mental maturity. Time will tell.
