"Jokic is now 0-5 in playoff series against teams with 50+ wins"
Actually, they did beat a 50-win team:
the Clippers... If you look at the percentages.
Recall the 2019-20 season was interrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic so we didn't get a full 82-game season. Some teams played an average 71 games while those teams who were in the lottery only got to play at the most 65 games. This is why many people disputed the 2020 NBA Bubble Resumption when it regards competitiveness: no evenness in games, neutral court, zero fans. To make the playoffs work, they basically opted to adopt their percentages as seeding determinant. Here's the western conference record featuring the Bubble Record and an 82-game conversion:
1. Los Angeles Lakers: 52-19 (.732) = 60-22
2. Los Angeles Clippers: 49-23 (.681) = 56-26
3. Denver Nuggets: 46-27 (.630) = 52-30
4. Houston Rockets: 44-28 (.611) = 50-32
5. Oklahoma City Thunder: 44-28 (.611) = 50-32
6. Utah Jazz: 44-28 (.611) = 50-32
7. Dallas Mavericks: 43-32 (.573) = 46-36
8. Portland Trail Blazers: 35-39 (.473) = 39-43
Magical things always happens...
But yeah, it's just one of those things where you have to look at things in a different way.
