They are playing 3on5, Bosh is sucking, and Wade does nothing but shoot. So yeah, its kind of difficult.

I like to hate on Heat as much as most other guys here but this is clearly not a contradiction. Which basketball player don't want to play the whole game? There's a difference between wanting to play 48 minutes and being realistic about what sort of game minutes is sustainable.

I think people thought that the Miami big three would end up being a better version of the Boston big three. In Boston's first 8 games together after getting Garnett and Allen, Boston was 8-0. So, yes, I think people are somewhat surprised. A lot of this thread is discussing the differences in those situations and they are pretty clear:
- Pierce, Allen and Garnett complement each other better than Bosh, Wade and Lebron, even if their total talent isn't as great.
- Boston had much better depth, with Rondo and Perkins and Posey, etc. in place when the Celtics got together.

Boston's big 3 complemented each other better, and their PG and C were obviously far better than Miami's PG and C. Obviously they had no one as good as LeBron though, but still.

People really hate and dislike this team yet the threads he seem they can't get enough of the HEAT and LBJ.
Its sad really, I guess Lebron and D-Wade are not humans and don't have the right to be tired.

LOL. coming from the mod that locks every negative heat thread and lets every positive heat / lebron / wade thread stay alive.
And come on....Lebron took a cop out with the Press conference. Just admit that you lost and don't say you tired or question and call out your coach on a national forum.....

Seems you took my petty comment personal. lol -- With all the national hatred Miami is receiving about what they did; a lot of people continue to watch and talk about them.
Not sure what's wrong with that?

lol some of you are terrible.
if this team woulD implement an offense such as the flex offense or a Basiv motion offense. they would finish top 2 in the East.
these guys were holding opponents to 40% FG defense w/o any offense. imagine if they had an offensive system in play.

The current head coach isn't as knowledgeable on this and there in lies the issues amongst others; effort, rebounding, and slow rotations.

I wouldn't put too much stock into that 40% FG defense, as 6 outta the 7 teams they've faced so far have a offense ranked in the bottom half of the league(Utah is the only one ranked in the top half). 9 game sample is small for everything, including defensive stats.

I think if anyone that would probably want out its Lebron..I have a feeling he realizes he made a mistake and if his friend Bosh goes hes not going to want to be there

Re: Is the experiment in Miami is failing?
you are absolutely right with the small sample size.
FG %D which I believe MIA will be good at. and be in the top 5
rebounding is important too. especially rebounding, when it comes to OPPG it depends on the pace

I'm not arguing over whether they are surprised, I'm arguing that there is no justification for such a reaction. Nothing you say actually addresses that point.
