I fully understand, that because of his depleted value, Raptors fans would prefer to hold onto him, instead of trade for a lesser package. No issues with that view point at all.

But when people start claiming that teams should offer 2 top 10 picks for him…..oof.
Pacers have no idea if Walker is a bust like so many busts that ends up in Detroit rotting away. Siakam is NO BUST so if the Pacers wants to keep potential over an elite player, it's up to them to send Walker and picks to the Pistons just clear cap room in a few years.

Anyway, Mathurin and Walker have aready been said by Pacers to be untouchable in any Pascal trade scenario.

Then they can forget about Pascal by trying to dump a player they overpaid just to hurt the Nuggets like they are laughing now Lol

Raptors do NOT care about picks, only young upside guys or they would have fleeced the Knicks of all their picks.

There’s a team option on Brown’s contract (this has been mentioned multiple times in this thread) so he’s functionally an expiring contract… you know, the ideal salary filler in a trade like this?

The option makes it better than an expiring, since the team has total control. Let him expire if you want the cap room, or keep him and try to flip him next season for an asset. This idea that we’re trying to “dump our bad contract” or whatever doesn’t make any sense.
He just a role player who just happens to have the highest salary on the Pacers. No other team wanted to give him 28 million per to party handy. Raptors would take Turner contract all day if you want to hold onto Walker so bad. Turner for the True North so you can get your Siakam for Hoosier country.

There's no way in hell Indy gives up Mathurin...their GM needs to be fired if he does.

I'm serious, Walker is as raw as Wiseman which is why he is on the bench instead of on any rotation even for a few minutes. So his chances of ending up like Wiseman or Bagley III is more likely then he will end up like a prime Siakam.

No difference than the Knicks giving up IQ for OG. Pacers just wants the whole pie and eat it for free without given up anything of value...simple as that.

IQ > Mathurin

Cool. Give us Gradey Dick for a 2nd.

Pretty clear Gradey sucks, dude doesn’t look like an NBA player at all. Can’t even shoot 30%, what a disaster of a pick.

But hey! The Pacers will save you by offering you a future second, who may end up being an NBA player, unlike Gradey Dick.

Yeah I like IQ upside a little more but If Masai turns expiring OG/Pascal into a core of IQ(24)/RJ(23)/Math(21) playing alongside Barnes(22)? That's just an incredible turnaround and future to look forward to. I mean it's not OKC/SA level of upside but we'll take it and run lol.

Well if I need to clear cap space, a 2nd is better than nothing in my book cause I do think he is a bust. He's just a one trick pony who chokes as a pro. He will end up being the next Jimmer Fredette imo.

I would include ur Dick along with Siakam as a parting gift for Walker and Mathurin if that would make you happy.

Cool, now we just gotta get you to be the Raptors GM so the Pacers can trade a 2nd for Gradey Dick.

I stated IF I NEEDED to clear cap space I call you to make the deal but cap space is not an issue now. Will just include him as a parting gift on any trade for Siakam.

If you were the Raptors GM, not a single team in the NBA would waste even a second talking a Siakam trade with you.

Just, realistically, no team would even remotely consider giving two top 10 picks worth of value for him.

Because he sucks. Empty calories inefficient scorer that does nothing else. Trade him now while now Still has perceived value

Lol you haven’t watched a second of Mathurin or the Pacers this year outside of IST I’m sure. Mathurins efficiency has improved since his rookie year he’s sitting around 48% from the field and 38% from 3 and he gets to the line a lot. So there’s no actual data to support what you’re saying. He’s also been super coachable, didn’t complain about coming off the bench and Ricks been on him to improve the little things, he’s made strides in his passing. Just an ignorant ass take all around.

theres a reason why he's on the waiver wire in fantasy. If his shots aren't falling he's not filling up the sheet. He's the type that even if he scores 25 points, he'll have like 26 fantasy points because he did little else and whatever little else he did was negated by turnovers. Even with Hali out he has not taken the ball and ran with it. Siakam on this team as lead guy while Hali out would probably be dropping triple doubles or close to it

Well I only want Mathurin cause he is Canadian like RJ. Canadian belongs on this side of the border and as GM, I will make sure it will happen under my watch.

Same goes for Pacers trades. Our FO is usually very tight-lipped and trades just happen when they happen. It is weird for both of those FOs to have that kind of smoke.

Could be but I think that Shams is more credible than that. That's the only reason why I'm putting any stock into it. If it wasn't Shams or Woj, I'd think that it was just a rumor.

fans heavily overate the value of 3 1st round picks in this thread. probably all in the 15-30 range
