Why would the Bucks trade Giannis for KAT and Mikal? If you’re hoping to keep 3 of those 6, the Bucks might do Giannis for Brunson, KAT, and OG.
And what are you trading for Kidd in this scenario?
As I keep writing--
including in the very post you quote above--if the Bucks ask for Brunson, we hang up the phone. (Note: I'm not saying that Brunson is better than Giannis, just that this trade only makes sense for us if we can pair Giannis with Brunson and keep at least some of the rest of the core. I.e., we don't want to become the current Bucks--Giannis surrounded by a skeleton crew of B-level talent.)
And also as I wrote, if we don't get Giannis--and I don't think we will--I don't want Kidd. Heck, I don't want Kidd regardless, so "what are you trading for Kidd in this scenario?" is a silly question.
This is what you wrote:
If we get Giannis with Kidd--and yet still retain at least three of Brunson, KAT, OG, Robinson, Mikal and Hart--then I will ask my kids to (re)name all my grandkids either "Leon" or "Rose."
I guess you don't understand the conditional tense in English. Sad. FYI: A conditional sentence expresses a relationship where one event or situation is
dependent on another. It often uses "if" to introduce a condition (the "if-clause") and
then states a result or consequence that is reliant on that condition--i.e., if the condition in the "if-clause" is not met, then the latter statement is also not desirable.
As you seem to struggle with English, this is what I also wrote (that you ironically quoted originally):
taikibansei wrote:And if we can't get Giannis for a package centered on KAT and Mikal, I'd prefer that we'd then walk away from negotiating for Giannis...and Kidd.
I.e., I'd only want Giannis
if (that conditional again!) we got him and somehow could keep most of the core intact...otherwise, no. And for the dummies, I also wrote this in this very thread:
taikibansei wrote:That said...while I love the idea, due to the salaries involved, I see no viable path forward that gets us Giannis and leaves us with a squad that can still compete. (And if we can't get Giannis, I want no part of Kidd.)
I.e., I've made it very clear from the beginning that I'd only want Giannis in specific circumstances, that I don't think we can get him in these circumstance, and that I don't want Kidd regardless. Embarrassed yet? You should be--cherry-picking lines in posts in order to create straw men that even you can attack is pretty darn sad.
RIP magnumt--you're literally why I'm still here on these boards.
RIP The Hater--keep up the good fight in the great beyond.
