Absolutely. And you can believe it, or not, but many wives initiate the relationship.

You ain’t really fix it...I’m saying Ime is an ex nba player and those dudes catch a lot of wives slipping. It happens - this ain’t even the craziest thing going on today....it closed under 30kn :(

And I hate to see race injected into a situation that has literally zero to do with race. Looks like Reggie and I both hate something,.

Malika been on one today, first Stephen A and now Kendrick perkins

But like I said earlier it's incredible see on national TV and also to see how she tried to paint HER narrative with Stephen A is incredibly unprofessional and the fact that it's swept under the rug like that is pretty telling of the times we're in now

If anyone from ESPN is reading this, please bring back Hannah Storm or...... Rachel Nichols

I used to love that white girl that did sportsnation...Michelle beetle? Or something what happened to her?

Oh yea she was great too, the downfall started with Molly and now Malika. I know a lot of people here weren't big fans of Rachel Nichols too much, I personally thought she was fine

So did Jimmy

Matt Barnes took back his backing of Udoka after he found out what happened. Take that for what its worth.

I do feel bad for guys like Kendrick Perkins. He should not be anywhere near a microphone to comment on anything other than basketball (if that). He is just a former player and does not even seem to be a particularly bright guy when talking about basketball. He is clearly out of his depths talking about gender and legal issues and he should stay out of it publicly before he gets into trouble. Stephen A on the hand has made a living making such sexist, xenophobic, race baiting commentary on these types of matters so he has absolutely no excuse.

What I take from Kendrick and Stephen A's statements is that they think the Celtics should have come out and identified the women involved and disciplined them for their "part". That way, the "innocent" women would not get unfairly accused.

First of all, I do not know the entire story as the Celtics and the media reports have only spoken in vague terms. However, I think it is very clear that Ime was involved in relationships with women who were in subordinate positions to him; there was a clear power imbalance.

When that happens, when a powerful man with authority over a female employee makes sexual advances, it can get murky whether something was or was not consensual, whether any coercion was involved. That's why universities prohibit professors from dating their students, doctors cannot sleep with their patients, etc. When a sexual relationship happens in those circumstances, you don't start punishing the subordinate employee, who may in fact be a victim or at least in a vulnerable situation. Or at the very least, it is understandable that the person in the position of power is the one that is disciplined, not the more vulnerable person.

In a consensual relationship between co-workers that involves cheating, the actual victims are the people who's partners were unfaithful to them.

Professional procedure does not dismiss personal accountability and morality. Let’s just wait for more information at this point and go from there. I feel bad for the partners involved in these situations of workplace lust.

I'm sorry, but 2 people violated the organization's policy here. Only 1 faces consequences? Was the policy made up?

I could only read a small amount, it said this:

an agent friend of mine delivered a verdict on Ime Udoka’s NBA head coaching prospects: “He’s done.”

I think what the article is going to say, because I read this somewhere else today on the Stephen/Malika showdown, is that ESPN will only use its own reporting on a subject, even when giving "opinions" (Stephen) on a topic.

So, because Shams (not Woj, and thus not ESPN) was the person who reported the "unwanted comments" (possible harassment) angle and not Woj/ESPN, ESPN (Stephen, maybe Perk) weren't discussing things from that angle. Even though the story was out there.

Stephen hinted at it, but then came back to "consensual" after the Boston press conference. Letting go of the Shams report "unwanted comments."

My guess is Ethan is talking about how he thinks all this happens, why, what outlet listens to whom, etc. And what agencies may be involved in all this (CAA, etc). Maybe clients of one agency only use stuff from others in the group, etc. I don't know who is affiliated with whom, so can't say anything else.

we don't know what the violations were. it was not disclosed.

every opinion based on those tweets so far is meaningless at this point. the full story has not been disclosed so anybody taking any sides here is doing so b/c of their personal belief system.

This is what happens when “reporters” care more about being first than getting the actual facts.
