I could only read a small amount, it said this:
an agent friend of mine delivered a verdict on Ime Udoka’s NBA head coaching prospects: “He’s done.”
I think what the article is going to say, because I read this somewhere else today on the Stephen/Malika showdown, is that ESPN will only use its own reporting on a subject, even when giving "opinions" (Stephen) on a topic.
So, because Shams (not Woj, and thus not ESPN) was the person who reported the "unwanted comments" (possible harassment) angle and not Woj/ESPN, ESPN (Stephen, maybe Perk) weren't discussing things from that angle. Even though the story was out there.
Stephen hinted at it, but then came back to "consensual" after the Boston press conference. Letting go of the Shams report "unwanted comments."
My guess is Ethan is talking about how he thinks all this happens, why, what outlet listens to whom, etc. And what agencies may be involved in all this (CAA, etc). Maybe clients of one agency only use stuff from others in the group, etc. I don't know who is affiliated with whom, so can't say anything else.
