Specifically, Nash really proved it in the playoffs both of those years by upping his stats big time and going to the Western Conference Finals both years (the second year with Amar'e out for the season). He lost to very good Spurs and Mavs teams but even in those losses there were plenty of injuries and funny business that happened to the Suns.
Nash consistently raised his level of play in the playoffs so I'm not sure why Nash is the parallel here for whoever tweeted that.
The "worst since Nash" thing comes from people like Nick Wright. He tried to constantly compare Jokic to Nash, attempting to devalue them both.
When Jokic was on pace to win his first MVP in 2021, Wright said he would be the worst MVP in 35 years.
So, many people don't actually think Nash was a bad MVP. They're just using these statements (worst since Nash) to hit back at the overdone criticism of Jokic.
