Amnestying Mike Miller to save $$$. Sends the wrong message after he took a paycut.
Mike Miller had about two good games for the Heat. He was well overpaid. We didn't cut a guy who was a consistent producer. The false narrative on this story is so bad. If he would have been a contributing member of the team he wouldn't have been amnestied.
Mike Miller was great in his last two Finals series with the Heat and had a nice year with Memphis the year after. You cut him to save money after players took a paycut to win. It's a **** move and they paid for it.
Great isn't the word I'd use. He had ONE great game versus OKC. He did have a very GOOD series against the Spurs though.
However, if you'd like to suggest that not washing the balls of Lebron was a mistake, when he's notorious for not having a good relationship with management, then you're seeing something I'm not. Lebron **** up with "The Decision". The whole world was against him and he felt he could right it by going back to Cleveland, a team well stocked with assets to achieve another run at championship contention. That's why he left.
Maybe he didn't like Mike Miller being amnestied. Oh well, that's what a player on any team has to deal with. Putting any blame on Riley for Lebron being an egomaniac is laughable. Riley put forth the effort to bring him back while Gilbert spat venom his way, and he still went back to Cleveland. That is not normal. And definitely not because of Mike Miller. A team with an owner publicly raping Lebron versus a team amnestying his buddy who was an injury liability? And that's Riley's fault? No.
