Lillard isn't going anywhere, but if I were Milwaukee I'd offer the world other than the Greek Freak and see what happens.

MIL does not have the assets to get Lillard.

Re: Giannis needs to team up with Dame lillard
That would be the perfect fit for both.
Dame is prolly the 2nd best pick and roll guard in the league behind Luka and maybe Harden. Giannis would thrive. Dame can be the 1st option on offense. Dame has struggled with blitzes and traps.
Now you blitz Dame with 2 players and leave Giannis on a 4 on 3?
Giannis covers up alot of Dames defensive problems too. That would produce a legit contender

You are correct, forgot what they gave up to get Jrue. They are screwed for a long while

Does Portland have enough? 3 teamer?
CJ, Nurkic, Collins, Simons, 1sts
Feels way too light still

POR doesn’t have the assets to get Giannis either.

Actually he is.... but you could argue for Jokic, Luka or Paul as well . But harden is a great pick and roll passer and a great half court playmaker.
Jokic, Luka, Paul, LeBron are all players who are better playmakers or at the very least can be argued to be better. Harden just has the good fortune to play with two of the best scorers in the league which makes it easy for him. Of course Harden is a very good playmaker. But unquestionable THE best playmaker? Not, not even close.
Stop it brah I’m a big luka fan like you but harden has better court vision and runs a system better ... Harden probaly runs the pick and roll better then anyone I’ve ever seen... then he also can attack the seams and create shots in tight spaces better then anyone not named Chris Paul in today’s game..
For me Chris Paul is 1 and Harden 2 as a offensive floor general

Re: Giannis needs to team up with Dame lillard
Giannis needs an elite playmaker, not Lillard
Bucks had a chance to get Chris Paul, and passed
Then they had a chance to get James Harden, and passed
Now they are stuck and will be looking at offseason upheaval without much room to improve

No.
If you're asking me who the Mavs best player is, I'd say Luka. A guy like Delon Wright probably rivals his impact though at this stage in his career. KP may as well if he gets his **** together.

They don't really have young players with upside. Their draft capital is also minimal (the earliest first rounder they have is in 2028).
I guess you could do a Middleton-CJ swap, but I'm not sure if it moves the needle for either team.
Gordon Haywood, Dwayne Wade, JJ Reddick, Derek Rose, Derrick Fisher, Lenny Wilkins, Kirk Heinrich, Oscar Robinson, DeMar DeRozen, Andre Iguadola, Pascal Siakim, Malcolm Brogdan

Don't think so. Both are loyal to the bone.
They are loyal to the degree that they would not request a trade, but if a trade is coming and one can move to a contending team, why not?

Portland don't have enough assests to take upon Giannis' 5-year supermax contract....

If Giannis is not forcing his way out, not going to work even if you put Dame in.

Could all be journalism fluff, but this is what I was referring to. It had been a while so I couldn’t remember if there was a direct quote and there is not. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.blazersedge.com/platform/amp/2020/12/22/22194879/damian-lillard-giannis-antetokounmpo-rumor-chris-haynes-podcast-contractextension-blazers-bucks

Well, lets take a quick look at the players mentioned, their USG% and their AST%:
Usage in 2021 (ordered highest to lowest):
Luka: 36.0%
LeBron: 31.9%
Jokic: 29.6%
Harden: 28.4%
CP3: 22.6%
Ast % in 2021 (ordered highest to lowest):
Luka: 44.1%
Harden: 43.8%
LeBron: 41.8%
Jokic: 40.4%
CP3: 40.9%
I think considering usg rate / ast rate, it's fair to say CP3 / Harden / Jokic are the top 3 facilitators at this time, followed by LeBron. This is out of the players mentioned in the previous post.
Jokic 5x MVP train

Ah, so advanced stats mean nothing to you. We'll just go with subjective evidence I guess?
In that case, CP3/Harden/Jokic/Bron are the top 4 facilitators according to the, uhh, eye test I guess?

Re: Giannis needs to team up with Dame lillard
The problem shouldn't be Dame or Giannis needing a second superstar to team up with. The problem should be superstars teaming up in the first place.

All we're going to hear about is how they need to go team up for find other superstars, and we'll be stuck in the "leave your team" phase forever. hope y'all are happy.
