Not all Championships are made equal. Dirk's 1 ring or Giannis ring last night is more impressive than all of Curry 3 rings.

Yup quality of championships should be considered. And those 2 rings are because of...you guessed it...Steph Curry's team.

Curry was not the best player in 2017 &2018. He couldn't even with 2015 Finals MVP.

While he may not have been better than the best player during this period--LeBron James--Curry was the most impactful player (with regards to wins) on the best team in the NBA those two years: GSW.

Sorry, I know basketball is a team sport, but Championships isn't low value on ranking/rating players. If we're only using counting stats then Russell Westbrook is the Goat. Also All-Star and All-NBA's is just as arbitrary as Championships because of the voting/subjectivity involved.

People do take rings into account whenever a legacies is discussed.

Many don't respect KD's 2 rings with GSW. I don't see any different with Curry who also happened to be KD's teammate.

Why leave out MVPs?

Giannis has more MVPs than KD, but most people thinks KD is clearly above Giannis in all-time ranking.

KD's career MVP share is 3.209 vs Giannis at 2.313. That's why the MVP gap isn't significant. By contrast Curry leads CP3 2.659 vs 2.313. With KD having gotten more votes over his career for MVP than Giannis, it's not as strong an edge for Giannis while here Curry has the edge, just like KD here. That's why it matters.

For those who value how "peaked" a player is they would reasonably rank this group.

I'd assume most people would want some kind of hybrid and would want to then at the end look at playoffs as these are all greats and you end up with something more along the lines of this.

Curry is comfortably ahead and these Finals I think cemented it for good. His contribution to the Warriors titles is understated. His gravity alone makes it so much easier for everybody else on the team. Remember, Curry has a title without Durant, Durant doesn't have a title without Curry. And CP3 doesn't have a title at all

CP3 has played a few seasons more than Curry due to age and college so the all star and all nba teams numbers don't mean much to me. I will take Curry any day over CP3.
