knicks bench better than cavs so we will see if depth matters in the playoffs, even if it's the 1st round. usually the answer is it doesnt. really need to go 8 deep but not sure if the cavs can even do that.

Cavs offense has struggled against the Knicks all season because IQ has clamped up Garland, they have no consistent 3rd scorer, and their frontcourt plays right into what Thibodeau actually does well scheming against.

Say what you will about the Knicks, but there's more guys on the Knicks that can score 20 on any given night.

Randle is the easiest player to gameplan for and take out of a game perhaps in NBA history. Just make him go right and he'll self-destruct, possibly getting into a fight with his own teammates in the process. I see a lot of 3/14 and 4/19 shooting nights in his near future. Thibs can ride players in the regular season but the Knicks just don't have the talent to compete in the playoffs. That entire team is filled with busts and underachievers.

Brunson - 2nd rd pick
Robinson - 2nd rd pick
IQ - late first
Grimes - late first
Hart - late first

That’s 5 of the top 7 minute getters on the team that have significantly overachieved.

Randle is a bust? A lot of two time all star busts out there?

That’s 6.

The remaining 3 in the Knicks rotation is RJ Toppin & Hartenstein (who has also overachieved for a 2nd rd pick).

Toppin when played always shows out. He just has an all star in front of him & a coach who gives starters big minutes.

RJ isn’t a bust but he’s been inconsistent so that fits the definition enough for some. Go ahead claim that one if you want.

Think the cavs will run through them? Fine. But your statement lacks evidence to back it up

I think Cleveland is the more talented team, but few of their main contributors are battle-tested in the playoffs. New York has a little more experience among players, and a lot more playoff experience for the coach. That evens things up a bit. Mobley on Randle will be a fun battle to watch. Curious to see what New York does to stop Cleveland's guards from scoring. I think Cleveland in 6.

Cavs in 5. They've been the better team all season, they have the 2 best players in the series and I don't think the Knicks will be able to match them in crunch time.

Knicks beat Cavs 3-1 in season series. Their one win came from a 4th quarter comeback otherwise it’s a season sweep. Knicks match up very well with the Cavs. Grimes and IQ are about to shine.

1. Cavs have the best player in the series. The Knicks have the next best 2. Randle and Brunson are both better than Garland.

2. Brunson was one of the best scorers in clutch time this year. Don’t think that’ll be an issue either.
