Great career though like yall are saying

The same Parker that averaged 25 a game on 60% shooting that series?

Yup that one. Meanwhile Duncan was still the focal point of the offense and also single-handedly held up the paint defense...against a team who could only score in the paint

Not really fair to compare Parkers' MVP with Iguodala who literally only got it because of his defense on Lebron who I may add averaged 36/13/9 and who was in contention to win finals MVP himself, but everyone is entitled to their opinion.

He will probably be best remembered for his timely steals….especially that Finals MVP from Steph.

Dude would hit the most backbreaking threes because you hoped on a team as absolutely stacked as GS that he would miss because his averages were nothing to write home about, but he’d just rise up with his kinda weird form and cash it, hella deflating the other team quickly entirely.

Iguodala averaged 16-6-4 (52% FG, 40% 3PT) that series, had the highest TS% on the Warriors, had the highest NetRtg by far on the Warriors, and was a big part of holding LeBron to sub 40% shooting and 48% TS.. he absolutely was the Finals MVP that year. He saved us with a ton of clutch shots and held LeBron well below his typical efficiency, ignored above so LeBron's counting stats could be used instead (LeBron played all but 14 minutes in the series, all of which were garbage time, and had a 41% USG rate)

Cool. Still would prefer Parkers 24/5/3 on 56.8 % FG and 57.1% 3PT in a series were they swept and where Lebron wasn't missing his two main all star teammates.

I will always think of him as the guy the Raptors could have drafted but instead chose Rafael Araujo.
The good thing about BI is he can shoot over defenders.
The bad thing about BI is he can shoot over defenders.

ok, dont really care about Parker since it was a whole different series that I didnt watch. But pretending Iguodala wasnt actually the MVP of that series is kinda admitting that others werent watching, especially if "he literally only got it because of his defense on LeBron"

Well my initial response was towards someone who claimed Iguodalas FMVP was a joke just like Parker's was so I was just pointing out how Parker performed much better, at least offensively, than Iguodala who was at best the third option on that team that series and who faced a depleted Cavs team, if you believe he deserved it, by all means you're in your right, it's still among the most underwhelming finals MVP's in league history, so much so that the guy he was guarding on the losing team had a chance to win it as well.

You might be asking how this affects Lebron's legacy.

Well, now he is officially the oldest player in the NBA.

Great career, very successful path relative to where he was drafted.

I wonder if he will go into coaching or media... I hope he would be signed by the Warriors coaching staff, but by the looks of it, he will go into the podcast business. I'd not be surprised seeing him in ESPN broadcast in the future. Very well-spoken.

Great career. Only one less finals MVP than kawhi Leonard, now he'll never get to catch up. I bet you he becomes an assistant coach on the warriors in 2 years

I might be making this up but I hear he rubs some people the wrong way. I don’t remember where i heard this.

B-ball floor wise though he was amazing. His defensive ability wow really something else. Steph obviously the Finals MVP but the fact that they gave it to him says all you need to know about his impact. The man did it all. Congrats Iguodala to a career well done. Hard to go from being a borderline star to the best version of a role player you could hope to be.
