He actually shot just four times, making three of them. He obviously doesn't care if he scores or someone else does as long as it results in the best shot percentage wise.
For all the Mitchell fans, I don't actually think that the "Simmons stans" dislike Mitchell. Nearly every poster mentions how impressive Mitchell has been this year. However this is the ROTY discussion and what people wonder is if Mitchell's volume scoring outweighs the other aspects of the game like creating shots for others, defense, rebounding, etc.
I think that is what the discussion should be instead of these childish and obnoxious back-and-forths.
