Go find something better to do. You know your opinion on all of this is trash just like everyone else does. Keep it to yourself and stop subjecting everyone to how wack your stance is. No one cares.

Great! Now all you have to do is find a vacant, unpopulated bridge to meet under and y’all can have a little fan club!

You lot are coming at me personally when I have done nothing but state facts and my opinions.

Why keep responding and not let this thread wither away like Jokic's defense in high stakes games.

It’s crazy you started this alt account just to push your Jokic agenda. It is sad bro.

Jokic gets treated with the kids gloves on here. They blame anything bad on Jamal Murray lol.

Even Tim Duncan lost badly at Fiba. Should we call him a bust too?

Duncan's comments were hilarious. If he were treated the same way people treat other all time greats, he'd be considered a loser for these kind of comments.

Here's Popovich "protecting" him:

"How can you make sense of the officiating," said U.S. assistant Gregg Popovich, Duncan's coach in San Antonio. "If Tim Duncan knew this is how the games were going to be called, he would have thought seriously about not coming."

And then Duncan himself:

He was asked if his own misgivings about playing internationally would hurt the recruitment of other marquee players.

"I hope not," Duncan said. "I'll try not to share my experiences with anyone."
So many people who attain the heights of power in this culture—celebrities, for instance—have to make a show of false humility and modesty, as if they got as far as they did by accident and not by ego or ambition.

He states that the team can do without Jokic but not Bogdan Bogdanović. That's a pretty damming thing to say about a guy who is supposed to be the best player in the world and top 10 all time. https://www.basketballnetwork.net/international/darko-milicic-questions-nikola-jokics-impact-on-serbia-national-team

Before we care what Darko thinks about a players' impact on winning, let's reflect on his pre-draft interview with Mathew Maurer of NBADraft.net (1/9/03):

Can you see yourself being the #1 pick in the 2003 draft?
"I believe in myself but with all the hype surrounding Lebron James and the fact that he lives in the US. I just don’t think that will happen. I would like to see Lebron play against the competition I face."

Some have called you the Lebron James of Europe. Do you think that is a fair comparison and have you seen Lebron James play?
"I think it’s difficult to compare us. It’s like apples to pears. Lebron plays the 2-3. I play the 3-4, so it’s different. Again I would like to see us both playing on a more equal playing field. I’m playing top international competition. I for one would like to see myself play at the high school level. And No, I haven’t seen Lebron James play."

Who is the toughest player you have faced?
"Pat Burke of the Orlando Magic."

Darko was 18yrs old during that interview. Is this your way of dismissing what he's saying now as a 40yr old man? Darko himself has admitted that he had a bad attitude, was entitled, and was an idiot. He also since called himself a bust (now after retiring). So, what's your point?

Bogdanovic is clearly a very important player for Serbia - as is Jokic. I think they have different impacts but to be fair, I would think without Bogdanovic, Serbia still should have been able to beat Finland. There were other problems too not counting the fact that Finland played great and deserves credit for the win.

I just think people don’t understand probability and how it can get wacky in these tournaments. Upsets are more common than people think.

I mean, look at the 2013-14 opener with Philly vs Miami. Miami beats that team 19 out of 20 times, but everything went right for Philly that night and they got the W.

Again, if something keeps happening over and over again, it becomes a trend.

Showdown wrote:This is third time that Serbia with Jokić was first favorite but was eliminated much earlier, same happened on last Eurobasket where they also got eliminated in top 16 bu Italy where he was destroyed by Melli and in FIBA world cup in 2019 where he was destroyed by Mark Gasol and then next game by 40 year old Scola.
Not only that but in competitions where Jokić was missing and Bogdanović was leader of the team they reached to the finals and won silver medal both times. Also worth noting that Serbia never won golden medal and that last time any country that they were part won gold was 2002 when Divac,Stojaković and Bodiroga were leaders.
Jokić is huge underachiever in his national team and his legacy is worse not only guys Bogdanović,DivacStojaković,Bogiroga but even some lesser players like Djordjević,Danilović,Rebrača,Paspalj,Tomašević,Teodosić,Bjelica. There ae also other players from Yugoslavian era but i only mentioned these modern players.

So this wasn't the first time this has happened to Jokic, he's looked at as an underachiever in his national team's legacy. Bogdan is the guy there not Jokic.

And in the NBA, I think people view him as an overachiever because he's the "Fat, Chubby, Slow Euro Kid" "Drafted during a taco bell commercial in the 2nd round" "Can't jump"....yeah we get all that. But the moment he became a MVP caliber player and is getting praised as some all time top 10 great, all that feel good underdog stuff goes out the window. I dont care about that, I care about what you have done.

It's all about how your resume stacks up. And for a guy people are saying is the greatest offensive player ever, top NBA peak since Jordan etc...i haven't seen enough. Jokic probably has another 2-3 years left in his prime, I need another championship and a few more long playoff runs. I've seen enough to already say he will never touch my top 10 list but im hoping he can prove worthy of a honorable mention for top 20-25ish.

Vasilije Micic is getting a taste of the Murray treatment for this Eurobasket. He's getting blame because he's "old, past his prime, can't shoot, not Bogdan" but he was good enough to be in the NBA the last few years and he was good enough to force a NBA buyout to be able to sign a very lucrative contract with Hapoel Tel Aviv. But all of a sudden when Jokic loses, he's not good enough. Jokic needs more...I've seen this all too often...

What was Micic’s production the last couple of years in the nba? In Eurobasket? Micic was so good in serval games that the coach benched him. The Jamal treatment? You can’t be this ignorant unless it is, ofcourse on purpose, to fit your narrative. It is weak and pathetic that you would start an alt account for this weakass **** lol

The only weak thing in here is you continuing to harp on his account and posting history lol. It sounds like you DM him too, just like you did with me when you were embarrassed about your "Jokic is NOT him" thread meltdown. I usually don't attack people personally on here, but I guess it's OK in this thread since OP has been personally insulted like a dozen times for pointing out a Jokic flaw.

Personal insults are the weakest form of debate and for the least intelligent. Youre making them repeatedly. He can post about whoever he wants, and Jokic is the most polarizing player on this board to post about due to the amount of people who claim he's the best offensive player since MJ. They often do so because of his assist numbers (ill take a pg that collapses a defense all night over a standstill handoff/passing hub to get assists), and his TS% on the few different shots he takes (standstill open 3s, short roll floaters, fake handoff drives and some post stuff), overlooking that in tight playoff series (so against good teams) the ability to create and improvise a wide variety of shots is more important for a superstar than TS%. It's a very real thing and why many, like myself, are underwhelmed by him if he's supposed to be one of the best offensive players ever. Many people here claim he's better than LeBron James! There are some flaws there, and it's not leading to success in big games against good teams.
