That would be a fantastic player. I see that more than the KG comparisons.

I was hoping and expecting this to be one of the first replies. You did not disappoint. Jroy have it all.

ok, I didn't realize you were specifically referring to CF as the freshman avging 30ppg. In which case I'd agree he would be incredibly highly rated(up there with KD probably and a few others but not above Shaq, DRob, Walton, etc). He wouldn't be 17 doing that though, he'll turn 19 just as his first college season begins. Glenn Robinson also did that as a sophomore but he didn't project as the defensive player Cooper likely will become.
He was born in 2006. He's turning 18 at the end of the year, which means he'll be 18 when the college season ends.
He should be a Sr in high school assuming his age is legit.

Whoa. Gamechanger.

Not sure about the NCAA eligibility requirements (Tim Duncan played through his whole freshman season as a 17 year old) but to qualify for the NBA draft, you have to turn 19 by the end of the calendar year, which Flagg will. He'll be the youngest player since Josh Primo if he plays in the season opener.

Coopers never going to be 400lbs
You said prospect which means pre draft. And Zion was superior in pretty much every way other than shooting. His season in Duke, he was viewed as elite offensively, elite defensively, a good passer, and high motor.
17 years old and cooking the national team. You wanna retract your statement?

Stupid question, is there a way to watch that scrimmage, I assume we are talking about team USA camp? How did my guy Nigel Hayes do, did he play?
Dissapointing to hear he is still shoeter than Bam, I thought he would be taller by now.
This is probably the longest footage currently available.

Umm yes, that’s exactly what he’s touted to be. https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nba/news/cooper-flagg-scouting-report-nba-potential/326fed9fa252876da6ec8348
Scouting report right here. 3 level scorer with athleticism and elite defense. Yall need to stop trying to bullsh*t, it’s getting ridiculous
He is elite defensive prospect with 3 level scoring to boot. MPJ was 3 level scorer with very questiobable defense. Do you really see no major difference? Might as well compare Bargnani to Wemby, because they also projected as similar scorers. I don't even know what to say...
I think you hope he's Andrei Kirilenko with better three point shooting eventually and go from there. That seems like one of the most positive realistic outcomes IMO. That would be a great career and worth #1 pick too. However is that really the style of player who leads a team to the championship though as the best player top option in this offensive-driven version of the NBA? He seems more like a good fit guy, than a guy you build your team around like Luka or SGA etc.

Maybe you are right, but what do you mean leading his team to a championship? I also, probably do not see him as first offensive option on championship tesm, but I see him as best player on championship team. Thats why I compared him to KG, he was exactly that. In think person you describing can be that too.
And obviously, kid can bust and everything, but I think we are being conservative here, because and I mentioned prior, the exciting thing about Flagg is how rapid his game growth is. Defense is already there, by next season, we might even see a top offense. We will see. 2 years his offense was very bad, jump in two years was vomparable to Victor.
bigboi wrote:Duke4life831 wrote:bigboi wrote:Flagg doesn’t impress me at all lol. I still don’t see the hype. His high school tape reminded me of high school MPJ
They play nothing alike. MPJ was a bouncy sharpshooter who was an extremely high volume scorer and was not known for his defense or facilitating.
Flagg is an elite defender and many think of him as one of the better defensive prospects to come out of American high school since AD. Flagg is also more of a fill up the stat sheet kind of player, not a high volume scorer. His 3pt shot is viewed as one of the weaker aspects of his game.
MPJ before the back injuries was a stud in high school. I just think him and Flagg are almost polar opposite kinds of players coming out of high school.
This is exactly what Flagg is touted to be. His handle is unimpressive and his distribution ability is unimpressive.
All I see with Flagg is a high motor guy. I don’t view his athleticism as elite at all either. He looks ridiculously slow and not slow like Luka who has elite change of direction. Just looks like a generic player

Wow, you telling me not every prospect pan out? Gee thats crazy... If you dont like the kid, give good scouting report, not just be usual Hair Jordan guy, aka a troll.
I don’t scout 17 year old boys. Sorry. His highlight reel tells me he’s a poor man’s Brent Barry at best with less athleticism and more height. Barry was a nice role player who could hit 3’s and dunk from the FT line but never sniffed multiple All Star teams or an All NBA type of career. Let’s be honest here, if Flagg was a black kid nobody would be impressed. He’d be just another prospect. People pay attention cause he’s a white kid with a little athleticism. Lots of white kids excel in Duke’s college ball system but don’t do sh-t in the NBA (Gminski, Alarie, Bilas, Laettner, Parks, Hurley, Redick) etc. Hitting a couple buckets against Team USA in what amounts to a glorified walk thru doesn’t impress me. That was like a summer league game yesterday. People need to get a fuc-ing grip
