Is Marc Gasol a Hall of Famer?

Marc Gasol is a Hall of Famer. I don't think he impacted the game like others, but for his accomplishments both in the NBA and especially internationally he will get in.

I know he often gets lost in the shadow of his older brother, Pau, but Marc has had himself a pretty impressive career - in the US and internationally.

I think the Gasols will be the second pair of brothers in the HoF, and the third pair of siblings.

Reggie and Cheryl as someone said earlier.

Definitely had to look up Al and Dick McGuire...no way I was going to guess that.

One problem for me in remembering that is that Al McGuire was a broadcaster, and I have to figure out that he's a completely different person from Al Michaels. So I've learned and forgotten that bit of trivia several times over. The Millers are a lot easier to keep straight.

It is the BASKETBALL Hall of Fame, not the NBA HoF.

BasketballReference has his HOF probability at 3.2%.

Obviously, you would have to boost that quite a bit after factoring his international achievements. I'd say he's more likely to make it in than not, but it's not a sure thing.

All NBA caliber player with gold and silver medals for a non US country is going to get first ballot. The defensive player of the year and NBA championship is a really nice cherry on top that kind of makes it a no brainer - he will be put in through the international wing. (they'll still factor in his NBA accomplishments even if he is added through the international wing)
