Marc Gasol is a Hall of Famer. I don't think he impacted the game like others, but for his accomplishments both in the NBA and especially internationally he will get in.

NBA Champ (as a role player)
NBA DPOY
2x all NBA selection
3x all star selection
2x Olympic silvers
other international achievements

Do you think he is a HoFer on his NBA achievements alone or even his international achievements alone or a combination of both?

If Vlade Divac is a HOF, how the hell does this Gasol brother not get in with his current resume?

I said no but forgot about his international achievements. Brain fart. Change my vote to likely yes.

On back of his international career he is a lock.

If it was NBA career only definitely not.

Trivia: Which pairs are in already?

Reggie and Cheryl as someone said earlier.

Definitely had to look up Al and Dick McGuire...no way I was going to guess that.

One problem for me in remembering that is that Al McGuire was a broadcaster, and I have to figure out that he's a completely different person from Al Michaels. So I've learned and forgotten that bit of trivia several times over. The Millers are a lot easier to keep straight.

Is this thread serious? Not only is he an HOFer he will be first ballot.

You forgot a big one:

TWO TIME WORLD CHAMPION (2006 & 2019)
Seriously, you Americans live in your little own world, don't you? No wonder people want you to lose so badly.
And I'm not even going to mention the rest of medals he has won with Spain.
It is the BASKETBALL Hall of Fame, not the NBA HoF.

Racist much? You think no Americans are voting for and arguing that he is headed for the hall? He's a lock as far as I can tell. But don't mind me. I'm just in my own little world. Please lecture me about my arrogance and myopic world view.
Only 7 Players in NBA history have 21,000 points, 5,750 assists and 5,750 rebounds. LeBron has double those numbers.

BasketballReference has his HOF probability at 3.2%.

Obviously, you would have to boost that quite a bit after factoring his international achievements. I'd say he's more likely to make it in than not, but it's not a sure thing.

That would have beem the more interesting question honestly. He's getting in. The only question is if it is first ballot or not .

You say this like Spain doesn't have this type of reputation lol.

All NBA caliber player with gold and silver medals for a non US country is going to get first ballot. The defensive player of the year and NBA championship is a really nice cherry on top that kind of makes it a no brainer - he will be put in through the international wing. (they'll still factor in his NBA accomplishments even if he is added through the international wing)
