It has nothing to do with jokic, it was always the same discussion.

Yeah how can we have forgotten the narrative around Giannis alone so quickly?

Philly fans are literally (not literally) praying on Jokic's downfall, just so they can say oh look what a weak MVP.

Meanwhile Embiid has two phenomenal teammates and is vs a much lesser team than the Blazers in the Wizards. If the nuggs end up losing to the Blazers, were going to be hearing a lot of s*** on jokic.

Phenomenal? Eh. I would prefer Murray and MPJ going forward over Ben and Tobias. If Murray can come back healthy and they resign Gordon, the Nuggets would have the best roster in the West.

How does that make you better than the Lin, Gallo, and Wil fans who root for them over NY?

In the future I take MPJ but in the present? Tobias blows him out of the water. Porter plays no defense and his shot selection still has a lot of work. He’s be causing Doc all sorts of headaches lol

I think Jokic and Ben Simmons p&r, Simmons drive and kick to Jokic, Jokic throw alley opps to Ben are all deadly weapons. Also Ben is a terrific defender that can help Jokic a lot.

Embiid legitimately wouldn't be able to set up Murray and Porter Jr like Jokic can.

Well when your team tanks for years and you draft a bunch of big men, then spend about 6 years trying to argue that Okafor, then Noel, and now Embiid are all better than a guy the Nuggets drafted 41st overall by a team that didn't tank it has got to suck. Add to that Jokic along with a guy we got from a pick we traded for years before we used it led our team further in the western conference then all their tanking got them, and I would be annoyed as well. I mean I would probably hate the guy too after he has made my friends look like fools every time we tried to argue against him and shown why tanking is such a waste of time.

It should be unanimous but im sure a Steph fan in the media will give someone else a vote to preserve the honor.

After three games of legendary performance from the league MVP, all media talks are about how clutch and important Austin Rivers were and how bad Blazers defense was. Can anyone find any honest positive coverage on Jokic?

Has an MVP ever went into the playoffs missing 3 of their top 4 guards including the starting guards one of which is the team's 2nd best player?

I don't want to hear these excuses. James Harden has won series with MASH units in the past. And Lebron James won Finals games without the 2nd and 3rd best player, on a what was basically a just a 3 man team to begin with. If you're the MVP, go win some games against a 6th seed in the 1st round.

This aged well.

its a regular season MVP, i dont understand why people keep bringing up PS stats. Jokic can avg 1/1/1 on 10%TS in PS and still won this.
