you do relize he used to do this in minnesota too right ??? he would get hot we would think he was finally playing well than he goes back to being avg again
this is nothing new
Heard this a lot last year about his defense.. we're still waiting on him to become lazy and a poor defender.
I dont think he has much room to improve TBH, but he's on a different team/culture, that has a whole different level of expectations and roles for him. Growth is not out of the question, and he's been relatively consistent in what he brings to the table: good to great defense, really mediocre shooting, the ability to get to the rim at will, but not the willingness
I hate ranking by position because you can add or forgo people based on whatever subjective qualifier you want.. is Luka a PG? Or is he a SF for the argument? Who knows/cares.. Wiggins is about an average SF because he's a big help on defense and he's ultimately a negative on offense. I'd wager that Warriors fans and people watching the games probably would rank him a bit higher (vote 11-15) while those who are watching other SFs have similar moderate success would put him in the 16-20 range.
But I really doubt anyone being serious thinks he's top 10 at whatever position you qualify him at, using whatever reasoning to disqualify others ahead of him.. he's just not that great of a player. He's fine.
And we would absolutely trade him for Barnes if given the opportunity, Barnes now is extremely different than Barnes in GS 6 years ago. He'd do great here
