Looks to me that the new coach Tuomas Iisalo-lead offense is team first offense, not Ja Morant first-offense.

Rob Pelinka can fix that - Give him a call. He will go from irrelevant to world famous in one day.

Hopefully, by the age of 35 he will focus of his job and not Boyz in da hood ****.

That's a bs take JA has been great after the suspension.

After the suspension he had a second suspension.
He misses a lot of games, he is constantly injured or half-injured, where is the false here?

That Boyz in da hood comment is false.
He has been great ever since the second suspension.

Ja was always overrated. The league tried to market him as a superstar, but he never was one.

They’ve always been better and played better without him.

Simply put: he's regressed. Whether it be due to injuries or what, he is having a poor year by his standards and has not played at the level he did in 2022-2023. Still solid numbers for sure but not MVP level stuff like he was doing in his 3rd and 4th seasons

Ja Morant is calm, less explosive, and he just wins games while his teammates shine. :D

Give me Ja Morant!
Indeed.
It's working for Memphis and JA.

He's still a very good player, but is now just one piece of a very good overall team that includes JJJ and Bane, who have outplayed him this season. He could easily get more in the spotlight and become more relevant if he stays healthy and out of trouble for a good stretch. He hasn't played enough to be relevant.

His impact is still high. He's still like a magnet when he drives into the paint and because of that he's playmaking at an elite level right now. He drives and kicks and creates all those opportunities for the scoring to be so spread out for that roster. His athleticism may have taken a step back, but his ability as a player is still there and he's still running a great offense. Team is top 10 in just about everything this year.

Lowest minutes of his career mainly and the team is good enough now that he isn't needed for any regular season heavy lifting.

People are going to be surprised when he starts putting up great numbers in the playoffs but he'll be playing an additional 8 to 10 minutes a game and he'll take over the crunch time offensive creation role against the better defenses.

Well I think it's also production though. He was like a 26-27 ppg player 3 years ago. Wow... it was already 4 years since his best season so far. He's only 25. Is he gonna have a Serge Ibaka type arch where he randomly peaks at like 21-22? He was also the NBA's most electrifying player a couple years ago. IMO more so than Anthony Edwards.
Didn't he have a highlight dunk just weeks ago? He also said he's laying off the dunking for good reason he always gets hurt from his reckless style.

I just see a guy taking a backseat and it's leading to team success. His numbers are fine if they are winning. Now if he had these stats and they were losing you would have a point.

Well my problem with it... is it puts a ceiling on Memphis. Them morphing into the 2010 Atlanta Hawks type team= 2nd round exit at best. You cannot win really in the NBA without a clear, reliable 1A superstar. The Celtics last year kind of defied that, but that's because they have two guys that are borderline of that (Tatum overall is that guy, but in the playoffs hasn't been consistently yet)... and they had astronomical shooting, low turnovers and stupid depth.

JJJ as great as he is, I still think is more ideally slotted as a high end #2 option. I don't see him being a reliable offensive engine for an entire deep playoff run when teams actively work on locking him up. So 2 years ago the reason for being high on Memphis if you were was a very deep, young, elite defense.. with a clear 1A superstar emerging in Ja that logically you'd expect to get to a top 10 player level. But his backslide individually for the better of the team (arguably) may actually lower their ceiling, even if it raised the floor.

I mean if you replace last year's Celtics with this year's Grizzlies, they are a lock for the finals (last year). Only decent team they would have to beat is the last year's Pacers and they are much better than that. So at that point the only thing that matters is how they matched up against the Mavs. So I would not say it's not possible for a team like the Grizzlies to win a title with a bracket like that.

in this scenario I am assuming they replace Boston since the scenario is "If Boston without a mega superstar could win a title can the Grizzlies" so I am replacing them with the Grizz to see if it would have been possible. Of course I don't think the Grizzlies would have beaten Boston in a series so nobody get that mixed up please.

After the gold digging evil skank, her fat nepo son in law who has lowered the value of the Las Vegas Sands since becoming COO and thinks Shaq had a great work ethic, and the **** who botched the Steph shoe deal ruined my team I'm now kind of rooting for Memphis to win it all just because it's not what the league wants. Having Ja win Finals MVP and then celebrating by firing guns in the air on the way to his limo is now my dream end to this season

Ja has missed 22 games out of 54 this year, thats alot
He also hasnt had any crazy stat lines this year, only scoring over 30 twice, he isnt making crazy highlight clips.

He just is kinda plugging along

Hopefully he turns it up in the playoffs

He's playing 28mpg because the Grizzlies like to run an 11-man rotation. Check his per100 numbers, he's doing just fine.

It's more of a team effort by the Grizz this year. Give him credit for buying into it. He's still best playmaker and source of rim pressure. Jenkins likes the pressure to come from everywhere though, and he likes everyone to be a playmaker.

Deep team, trying to avoid the injury bug, and he's been playing a bit more of a facilitator role.

The media hype machine is also afraid to highlight him because... well you know.
