Ugh not Patty. However I think this is a decent haul for that fat loser.

Well it could be done now so should expand to teams with expiring of which they are many. As for teams projected to have cap space next, I mean there are plenty. Are your blazers no longer interested in Simmons if all they are sending back is picks? OKC? Pop speaks glowing of Simmons.
True, though he usually does of most players. Ben's spoken well of Pop, too, so there's mutual respect there at least.
And with today's trade, Sato+Thad is about $25M worth of expiring contracts.
It'll be an interesting however many hours left to the trade deadline.
Not gonna hold my breathbut then again Spurs never make trades and have made 3 in the last 6 months. Perhaps they can get in as a third team to help facilitate.

Where are you getting this from? From all accounts Simmons is good with a number of teams, no “forcing to nets”?
Ever since Seth left Dallas (by request) the plan was for him stay with Doc. That's why Philly has been reluctant to trade him.Gramercy Riffs wrote:I would do this if I was Morey. I was always confused about Curry being the sticking point. He's a good shooter that's somewhat redundant on the Nets with Patty being very similar which is why I didn't understand why Marks wanted him so bad. But if he's willing to send Patty in return then get it done. I consider the Curry for Patty swap somewhat of a lateral move so if it means that much to Marks then Morey should agree to it.Ballerhogger wrote:?s=20&t=o-W9nwnRFInAYhtYhEESlQ

essentially they traded 5 FRPs, 1 SRP, for Ben Simmons (who refuse to shoot), Curry...that's quite an underwhelming return

Absolutely. If Simmons was playing, I actually think the Nets would have to throw something in (though I admittedly very low on Harden (especially going forward)).
Okay. Thanks for being honest.
I just feel like Harden is getting older, he seems to be missing more games, he doesn't seem that interested in being in super shape, the game has somewhat caught on to his free throw baiting antics, and he's going to make over $40M a year going into his mid-30s.
Honestly, if the Nets get more than Simmons and Curry, I think it'll be an absolute steal for them. Especially given that I think Simmons could be a great fit with Kyrie and KD.

Johnny Bball wrote:First off, imagine this trade not happening because Morey negotiates like a jerk again and starts digging in about Thybulle, and second, wasting this entire year. This will happen tomorrow with exactly what BRK ended at or Morey is an idiot. Morey isn't "winning" this trade or fleecing anyone because he needs it.

If Harden wanted to stay, he'd just come out and say that.
Pretty much every basketball reporter is saying he wants out and the teams have been talking.
