Every player would say that's a travel, KG and Nurkic for example. They know basketball don't they? I don't care what anybody says, you can't pickup the pivot foot, anyone who knows anything about basketball knows that. It's basic stuff, but stupid fans don't care about fundamentals of the beautiful game anymore. Their ignorance is ruining the game.
its literally in the nba rules saying that you can lift your pivot as long as you shoot or pass before you land.
Yes, before you land on EITHER foot. You can't lift a pivot foot and land, period. You have to shoot or pass. That's where this stupid interpretation comes from. The goal is to change basketball fundamentals. It's a disgrace.
Just because you capitalize a word doesn’t make it true.
The rule is that you can lift your pivot foot as long as you’re going for a shot or pass before putting the pivot foot back down. Been hooping for a long time man, people need to get this.
From the NBA rulebook:
Section VIII—Pivot
a. A pivot takes place when a player, who is holding the ball, steps once or more than once in any direction with the same foot, with the other foot (pivot foot) in contact with the floor.
b. If the player wishes to dribble after a pivot, the ball must be out of his hand before the pivot foot is raised off the floor. If the player raises his pivot off the floor, he must pass or attempt a field goal before the foot is returned to the floor.
