Care to explain the logic behind this ?

I agree, 99% of uneducated takes are on twitter most likely.
Realgm has a standard that is expected, and its far higher than tweeter.

It's Jokic. Least help and close enough to Giannis.
I agree that it should be Jokic.
With that said, why is Gianni's second best player, Middleton, having played only 32 games all season long, averaging 15/4/5 on 43/31/90 is glossed over?
If Embiid's or Jokic's best teammate had played just 30 games, we would have been hearing it constantly all year long, being the reason they are the clear cut favorite over the other two. Instead he has had the most help out of the three somehow.
Anyway, I feel like Jokic deserves it over the other two this year. More games played, amazing stats and efficiency while having the 3rd best record in the league. He has been the regular season MVP this year even more than he was last year, which I would argue, should have gone to Embiid.
Embiids best teammate sat out 82 games last year and no one gave a damn, they actually defended the guy for sitting out.

At least he has own ideas and not from some random Twitter account. Be original is all we ask
I agree wholeheartedly. But the post makes a point that we clearly see. Moving of the goal posts and unfair expectations for Embiid which is not applied to other candidates.velkisimo wrote:Personally, if i see a quote, i expect it to be of reputable source (journalists, nba professional, statistician or something like that). So quoting random fans confuses me since random fans will be super biased and i start reading those quotes with premise that there was a lot of logic put into the thought. And biased fans are not known for that.
Clearly me issue since this is just my expectation lol

Also most of the stuff here, quote or not is parroted all over the internet. Especially with the MVP debate none of the stuff here is some profound original concept.

MVP isn't much of an issue, but All NBA teams will beWarriorGM wrote:BoatsNZones wrote:New CBA rules of 65 games played for award eligibility would render a decent chunk of the projected All NBA candidates this year ineligible. Luka, Curry, Ja, Booker, Lebron, Kawhi, Dame, etc would all fall short.
Jokic, Embiid and Giannis would be RIGHT there (Giannis might not get there and Embiid is still short a game).
If all those guys were disqualified, who would the MVP be?
The dangers of trying to fix a non-problem.

This one win streak Philly had in the whole 82 game season overlooks everything else for him now?
You’d think he HAS to be slipping by now, wouldn’t you?
• 3-5 record in the last 8
• Ducked the showdown with Jokić
• Got dominated head to head by Giannis
• 4 straight games under 30 points
• 3 straight games with a game score under 20
• Has made 4 of his last 25 3-pointers
For a guy whose whole case seemed to be recency of what he’d done in the last 2 or 3 weeks 2 or 3 weeks ago, he’s been on a hell of a bad stretch. What’s it gonna take for him to slip? It’s gonna be an absolute travesty if he wins MVP.
