Who say no?
LeBron, he has a no trade clause lol

So Kings trade JV (who is going to Greece) Derozan, Monk, and Knecht but end up with LeBron and Reaves.

Meanwhile Charlotte gives up a their best player on the roster (Lamelo Ball), but receives a player going to Greece, and Derozan and Knecht.

Re-assessment needed.

Ball is a negative contract, hornets would love to get rid of him

Got to admit something emberassing. I can somewhat speak English for 20 years, and I still do not know what is pronunciation difference between V and W. Also, why W is called double-u, shouldn't it be double-vee or smth?

It's difficult to explain through text.

But V has a very distinct sound. When you go to say value or verb or vacation, it's almost like your top teeth push against your bottom lip to give the distinct V sound.

With W, you're almost putting your lips together to make the sound, almost puckering them. To say wise or why or where or when or who or want

They may look similar to write but the pronunciation is much different between them. Most humans are not great at enunciation, so when trying to learn secondary languages, that can be an obstacle.

Yeah, I just do not get the difference, but if I actually tried speaking English, I bet I would have very strong ugly accent. We do not have letter W in our languge and I just see it and say it as I would say V.

Over the years, I think I picked up one thing that never gets taught in languages classes, that is the big reason why we have strong accents speaking English. In English, they syllabify (I believe that would be the term) words in completely different, to us even nonsensical fashion. Thats why we Baltics, or same with Slavs I bet, will look at name Morrison, and wonder why does it have to have 2 rs. But we see Morrison, and we will say it mo-ri-son, so there is no need for two rs at all, where Ehglish guys, maybe I am wrong, but I think will say mor-ris-on. And when you say it, it sounds similar, but even such a simple word will sound differently spoken by real American and Eastern Euro. Like I noticed when they try to pronounce Valanciunas, they say val-an....., VAL-AN, where in Lithuanian its VA-LAN, va-lan-ciu-nas, thats how you split the syllables. It sounds essentially the same, but it is still a bit different, and out of all Lithuanians that were in the NBA, I would say they pronoune Valanciunas' name maybe the best, it is very very close, where reven the simple and legendary name as Sabonis, is not very well pronounced by Americans, because they say O just in Englsih fashion, it is not how O sounds. I believe it would be the same with Quinten Post now, he is dutch, I am pretty sure his name sounds differently than enlgish word ''post'', but they just say it 'post''.

Anyway... I noticed this syllabifying difference only when I started reading printed English books, where it would have split words between the lines. And I still get flabbergasted how certain English words get syllabified, like I never figured to look at it or pronounce it in that way...

not the post noir 50s and 60s stuff like q&a or "someone to watch over me". they were good but they took place in nyc

the tv series "crime story" was super great too

Prime James Harden was THE GREATEST OFFENSIVE JUGGERNAUT in NBA history!

Kai Cenat had all 3 Ball bros on stream tonight. They almost bet LaMelo 20k to jump off this high balcony into a pool, but he didn't do it. Would have been funny to watch him violate the terms of his contract on camera.

This Knicks coaching situation is bizarre. They bring in Mike Brown, demote Rick Brunson so MB can bring in his own associate HC (Borrego was denied), but they keep the rest of Thibs' coaching staff as well. Leon Rose will either look like a genius or this will be arguably the dumbest move on the off-season. There's no middle ground here.

Reminds me of when the Cavs hired Blatt. Hired his direct replacement in Lue to be his top assistant. Funny enough Larry Drew was placed on his staff too, who was the head coach after Blatt and Lue both got fired lol

The fact that there were rumors of strife and factions there would suggest keeping the staff isn't the best move.

That's Kornet behind the ball but I think the other white gentleman is KP (or maybe Hauser?). Different leg sleeves.

Going to Superman showing tomorrow. I almost never do this, I barely watch any movies at all, I watch like 1 movie per year, and I do not mena cinema, just in general. I do not even really want to go, my depression is pretty bad, but I am forcing myself to go out of the house and do something, and I want to support new DC project. We will see how it goes.

I do not think this will be actual cover, cause it seems pretty amateurish quick job. But Shai as a cover works, and OKC blue uniforms kinda pop if you do colors right on your graphic, I hope they do it with these blue uniforms. I am going to win NBA finals on my NBA 2k24 for the first time, I didn't buy 2k25, because I was just ok with my league mode, I mean it is a terrible game, but I have problem...

Maybe I will pick up 2k26, I believe they FINALLY actually upgraded PC version, NBA cup must be there plus other features, because NBA 2k is really a scam, at least 2024 game had the same bugs from like 2018 era, and they just patched them in the ''new'' game that cost like 80 bucks every year. At least My league mode literally did not have a single new feature compared to 2023, and I mean that literally, it was literally same mode with same exact assets everywhere, literally everything, down to the bugs, was the same.

I will just say this, this game was such reused asset fest, that 2024 PC version still have head coaches wearing suits.... I would just pirate the game and do not feel bad about it, but they now use anticheat or something, it can't be cracked anymore.

Previews are not very good, but I think a little better than expected. Snyder bots already been hating this movie before it came out, but it is clearly movie for the fans of comic books and animated adaptations, it is made by true fan of material, not deuchbags who tried to ''fix'' material for the cool jock crowd.

I do not expect it to be very good, but I expect similar vibes as Animated DC material, everyone says it is not as good as ''Superman vs the Elite'' or ''All Star Superman'', but vibes are the same and it will be interesting to see it in live action.

Most people I trust however say that this Lex Luthor is not very good, and it is not the actors fault. Sad, cause Lex is awesome. Clancy Brown till this day is GOAT Lex without a doubt, it is funny that cartoon version is far better and more adult than any live action version we have ever seen.

Well, I really liked the movie, from previews I expected something way worse. But I am mark for real DC stuff and this was it. I definitely see that movie had few major shortcomings that will probably let general audience down. I didn't mind it that much, but I was hearing that movie really had no stakes, and it is kinda truth. I do not want to spoil it too much, but I will say for the most part, it felt like there were no world threatening stakes or nothing really close to it at all, a lot of the movie was about just Superman's struggle for better public imagine almost, which sounds stupider than it was. And at the end of the movie it looks like world could end, but Mr. Terrific literally saves the day on literal business computer, and he could have done it earlier, I do not know why he waited. So, stakes were in fact pretty lame.

I will say, best actor of this film by far IMO, is Nicholas Hoult, who plays Lex. He had great performances in the past, but this was really incredible. But at the same time, Lex Luthor, out of all major DC characters in this film, is the weakest part. His motivation sucks, performance is amazing for what it was, but man, his motivation is being a bad guy. Lex always was obsessed Lunatic, but in this movie he is just that. Real Lex kinda fits that saying '''everyone is the hero in their own story'' the best, Lex always was a villain, but you get that in his mind he is humanities champion. Where in this movie, he is kinda just a dick, his motivation is literally pettiness and he admits it, and thats kinda Lex, but I do not think Lex would do things that he does in this movie, just to be a dick. He endangers entire humanity very very much so, just to be a dick. He is smartest person on the planet in this movies, but he is also a dumbass.

I also thought that ending was very weak, it revolves around the fact that Daily Planet publishes Lex motivation and that what he did was BAD, and we kinda get a montage of everyone accepting that as gospel and turning on on Lex, and Loving Superman again, in literally like few minutes. And, for a movie that was heavily based on Social media theme, that ending was just super lame and unrealistic. I know movie had to wrap it up at that point, but it felt cheap. There is literally like a political talk show news channel in this movie, and in a movie they have Lex on it and it is said in a movie that Lex was on that show many times. And At the end when Daily Planet exposes Lex, that show host is instantly - Lex a traitor... Which made me think, in this movie, Lex is not only super influential and powerful, he is also kinda richest man on Earth or on that list at least, and it made me think, in a different movie, that political talk show host would be so in Lex's pocket, we could make a trilogy of these movies with that guy just bashing Superman and trying to elect Lex as president.

So yeah, Ending was lame, we had these scenes that end with a joke for no reason etc, but overall, I really liked it a lot. Ending and low stakes didn't bother me, it could bother others. If I didn't like the movie, I could easily nit pick the parts that are weak, like I would with Man of Steel of something, but thats not that important. THe most important thing to me, the core and heart of this movie is good, characters are done justice. People said that it is trying to do universe building and same mistake as DCEU, but I didn't see that at all. Thing with this movie, it is not an Origin story at all, it is new DC universe, but it throws you right into it, Superman has already been Superman, he is young still, but everyone knows who he is, hes done this for years already, everyone knows who Green Lanterns are etc etc. So just made sense that these people are there, If anything, I could have used some more DC characters, at the end, it was just few guys. But it is still James Gunn, during one scene, it just hit me - Yeah, this is the guy who did Guardians of the Galaxy, this is exactly it.

Movie was colorful, most DC characters are done justice, Superman/Clark is very likable, Lois is not annoying, she is likable, Nathan Fillion is treasure as always, It is CGI fest and most of if does not look real of course, but thats comic book movie. To me, CGI on Crypto was insane, because I couldn't believe that it is CGI at times, that dog looks so good, but then all the other CGI just looks like everything else you have seen. That dog was some of the best CGI I have ever seen tho.
