1) Look at my hometown Rockets. Rick Adelman is not know as a defensive coach yet the Rockets had the second best rated defense in the NBA. So your last statement is.
2) Besides last year, the T-Wolves have always over achieved on defense. Kevin Garnett was the reason why those teams didn't get blown out every game. The year the went to the WCF they had a good defense. furthermore, on all those teams he was by far the best defensive player.
3) Rondo's ball pressure also helps. But that is not a result of coaching. He is long and quick he did that at Kentucky.
