False. Alvarado would get big PT on basically anyone. Dude is a defensive stud, can handle the balll, hit the 3, and is shooting 69% at the rim. I can't see how anyone watched us and thought Alvarado is a garbage time player lol.
I don't see any way in hell the Mavericks are nearly as talented. You're giving them way too much credit. CJ, Jonas would be the 2nd best player on the team by a lot, and guys like Murphy, Alvarado and Nance would be pretty high on their totem pole. Zion's impact is immense, and MVP level for sure, but this team is way deeper, way more talented, and way more versatile than the Dallas supporting cast.
This is objectively false. Alvarado literally couldn’t get drafted and was on the verge of quitting basketball. So no, he would not get big PT with anyone. It took the Pels believing him to get minutes
Yea, and Ben Wallace couldn’t get drafted either, and bounced from team to team before he got good. Doesn’t matter what happened pre draft, he’s a good player now. This is a ridiculous take to dig your heels in on, both objectively and subjectively.
It isn’t a ridiculous take. Jose Alvarado isn’t the same player on another team and wouldn’t even get a chance to play in the first place. We see this with a ton of players, they’re good on one team but would’ve been an end of the bench player on other teams. Jose fits in Pels scheme, that’s it. Again, he would not get minutes anywhere
