Re: Anthony Randolph vs. Michael Beasley
Randolph wins by a landslide.
Randolph for an All Star to NYK, playing alongside Stoudemire, Gallo.
Beasley for a 2nd round pick to MIN, playing behind Love, Jefferson.

A little off topic, but I think Lee and Biedrins is a very good frontcourt.

How is AR not crushing Beasley now with the Knicks fans on his side? Must not have found this one yet.

Randolph isn't the next big thing but I still believe he's better than Beasley

So do the Knicks fans and TWolves fans inherit this thread from the Heat and Warriors now?
Let's add Gallo and Rubio to create more drama.

This is amazing. BOTH of these guys were moved. NEAR SIMULTANEOUSLY. How often does that happen?

Uhh, you don't think trading Beasley for a 2nd rounder (thus not taking back any salary) didn't have ANYTHING to do with the Heats plan on getting LeBron?

To be fair, they used the money they got from clearing Beasley to sign Mike Miller, not LeBron. It was pretty clear that LeBron was signing there whether Beasley was on the team or not, and also clear that they didn't just offer the newly available to cash to one of the big 3. They essentially swapped Beasley for Miller.

Re: Anthony Randolph vs. Michael Beasley
exactly and it was
Randolph and Turiaf for Lee.. so lol
PLUS
it was Beasley for 2nd rnder and future first round swap, so it could potentially be the #1 pick, because we all know T-wolves will suck for at least anotehr 3-4 years. Also i think anybody would take miller over Beasley to compliment Wade,LeBron Bosh.

People talk about earth shattering breaking news all the time, but when these two players got traded, the our universe was pulsing from the effects.

I think both of these guys will play better this season, I expect this thread to get bumped often.

Yeah Instead go for the guy that cries on the bench when he's yelled at. It's a toss up but slight edge to Beasley who I think was held back a bit with Wade taking over all the time.

Thats not a knock on Beasley really, Miller is clearly the better fit with his ability to stretch to floor. They would have swapped AR for Miller too.

I fully expect Michael Beasley to be suspended at some point in this season for drugs or driving under the influence.

Re: Anthony Randolph vs. Michael Beasley
FWIW, I still take Baby Jesus... just too much potential. And I dont see it with Beasley, who I just cant see being effectively defensively. Too slow for SF, too weak for PF.

Randolph isn't really a major disappointment though. RealGM homers aside-you aren't likely to get anything more than a role player with the 14th pick.

That's nonsense. There have been plenty of good players that have been picked with the 14th pick and beyond. Ever hear of Danny Granger, Al Jefferson, Tony Parker, Manu Ginobili, David West, Josh Howard, Zach Randolph, etc? Draft selection means nothing. If you can play you can play and Randolph has shown he can play. His potential is sky high.
