I thought he was clearly back to being the league's best player this season, especially with his play over the last month. Sucks to see injuries slowing him down and if they continue to hamper him for a while, then he won't be the best.

Didn't think they'd win once I saw the kind of game James was having. He really should have sat these last two games and probably the next one against SAC as well. He would've gotten over a week to recuperate and avoid aggravating anything further. Instead they're 0-2 and things look bleak for James and Miami going forward.

Sucks that toodles had to see this live.

Not bummed out about this loss. Miami was lucky they even held a lead for much of the night with LeBron being so hampered and Wade having an awful night himself.

Chances of LeBron sitting the next game? Spoelstra and co. need to realize they aren't helping themselves by continuing to play him.

Just got back from the game, it was obvious even in warmups that he was off. He was bricking all his warmup jumpers which was a sign of things to come, and he was fumbling the ball a lot which I thought was weird. FTs looked really funky today as well, he had no rhythm in his routine at all which was indicative of his entire game tonight. Despite this and his nagging injuries, the one thing was that his speed in the open court was breathtaking, but whenever I saw a replay of it, it looked like he wasn't even exerting that much effort.

Miami clearly needs to rest Lebron, he's had two bad games in a row and doesn't look right at all on the court.

Guy needs to sit a couple or a few games. They would have lost the last 2 without him since they lost them with him anyway. Miami is not even halfway through the season and he's got some bumps and bruises. Last thing you want is for him to be hurt heading into the playoffs.

It's kinda funny if you look back at LeBron's decision now. He chose Miami to win multiple championships but most importantly, to relieve himself of carrying a team single-handily night in and night out. Fast forward to now (and even last year, and the year before to some extent), we see the situation is pretty much the same. I'll even argue it's worse this year because those 60+ win Cavs had quite a few games where they did enough work to rest LeBron for whole 4th quarters. The Heat almost halfway through the season have had like three such games, all of them at the very beginning. Three quarter of all their games (or even more) were grind out affairs where it came down to the last minute.

So yeah, LeBron is shouldering an unbelievable load, even bigger than in his late Cleveland years. Sure he has Wade & Bosh, who play at an all-star level, but after that it's pretty much a pool of inconsistent one-dimensional or even useless players. No doubt, the team got worse from last year, mainly because of the decline of certain key role players such as Chalmers, UD, Miller, Battier... Pretty amazing too, considering they've essentially only lost Turiaf (who wasn't even playing) and signed Ray Allen.

This was suppose to be easy for LeBron and the Heat when he signed in Miami, but I think it speaks volume when Spo doesn't trust any non-LeBron lineup there for more than a couple of minutes. Their lucky the East is putrid and only has one solid team every year it seems (Chicago, Boston, New York?). Sad sad stuff...

I dunno what to say, but I wish now that Lebron had sat these last two games because he clearly looks gassed. Not only that, he looks sloppy on both his jumper and his handles. He clearly needs to be DNP for a few games.

Well I stand corrected; lebron has played an utterly flawless game in the blowout against the kings. Glad to see him come back from the mini-slump.

Yeah, he looked really active and focused, but he never really had to create anything in the halfcourt. Hard to say whether his slump is over, or if it was just the Kings defense.

What better way to break a string of bad games than against the 2nd worst defense in the league. Wouldn't take too much from this game

Haha fair enough, I'm just glad it allowed him to rest for over an entire quarter

Good to see him only play 29 minutes though. He hasn't had that luxury often enough this season. This was the first time he played less than 30 minutes in a game since November 7th, when they curbstomped the Nets.

Turnaround off the right shoulder on the right low/mid block (his go-to move last season) has faded into oblivion this year. He's made 0 by my count.

If it wasn't for LeBron tonight, Utah would be winning by 40

Still hasn't recovered clearly. Just a complete lack of activity in the 3rd quarter there. He really should have sat out to start this road trip

Yeah not too impressed tonight.

Also, Miami isn't getting anywhere near a championship with that defense. It's not happening.

I really don't know what game you were watching because LeBron was outstanding tonight, one of his best games of the season. Literally put the team on his back and played both PG and C in the 4th quarter. But the deficit was too much to overcome and the refs swallowed their whistles every time LeBron drove to the rim.
