Kobe's peak is near the top anyway. He had historically great scoring seasons, and was an elite defender. Not many can claim this.

I think Wilt would still be ahead of Kobe, but Kobe would definitely pass Magic/Bird IMO. With 8 rings, I'd have Kobe tied for the third spot with KAJ after MJ/Wilt.
