Meanwhile LaMelo looks like a poor man's Trae Young

Spurs don't really want to win so let him experiment with whatever. But my guess is Chris Paul gets tired of this in about 3 more games and has him running PNR and starting him down the path where he eventually lands. But for now his impact is going to be on the defensive end.
Boogie should have forever shown us that just because you can in theory kind of do some stuff doesn't mean you should. And that many of our best offenses have featured centers who literally only rim run. Gobert with the Jazz, Capela with the Rockets.
Less is more for Wemby. May always be. This talk of him being a taller KD was always silly.
But I don’t understand why spurs didn’t get Trae Young. Trae wants to play with Wemby, has playoffs experience and is better than literally anyone on the roster. He’d reduce pressure of Wemby being number 1 option. Wemby can be elite at offense but he plays too far from the basket. Hopefully he doesn’t get KAT syndrome. KAT is like that too, where he’s catching the ball at the 3 when he should be posting

Trae's reputation hit an all-time low last year. I've seen people argue that he's self-absorbed, too ball-dominant, hinders other players' growth, and has poor shot selection. Additionally, his smaller size is seen as a drawback, making him a tough fit on many teams. However, he’s actually a perfect match for Wemby. With Murray gone, I expect Trae to perform more like he did in the 2021 and 2022 regular seasons, rather than the past two years. The fit with Murray just wasn't there, and with him gone, I think Trae's stock should rise a bit. Perhaps even a darkhorse candidate to lead in the offensive component of a litany of all-in-one metrics.

Lebron made it to the finals with that cleveland team.
Bird would have won 4 rings with that team, in this weak ass era of basketball.

There is a near-0% chance that Morant wins an MVP with how bad he is away from the rim.
Haliburton isn't an MVP candidate either, but he's a high-impact offensive player. He's also better on O than Morant, but worse on D.
A more balanced and factually-rooted take would be better.

Hali is in no way better than Morant lmao. Hali isn’t even better than Brunson or Melo. Hali started hot first half then completely fell off

Informal warning: you've been spamming this thread with negative commentary and it's getting tiring. Especially calling out the board as a whole which accomplishes nothing. Try to have meaningful discussion vs spouting off opinions as facts. If you keep it up the warnings will inevitably come. Just an FYI.

They are essentially replacing giddey minutes with caruso and have held rivals to like a combined 92 points per game (through only 2 games) replacing the only weak link in a defensively stacked roster with an all D caliber player has compounding effects arguably greater than even caruso own strong contiibutions
And eventually if health allows we will replace the minutes currently going to depth bigs (as both ihart and jaylin are hurt) with a strong defensive center in harstentein and going small ball less as 2 big holgrem/hartstentein lineups replace some of the jalen williams at 4 minute
Am i crazy for thinking right this very season our top 7 players rotation may already be better than boston's? (Counting on third year leaps by chet and jalen)

Crazy? I wouldn't say that. Premature? Yeah, probably. Remember Boston is missing KP and Hauser has played one half's worth of basketball himself.
And the experience advantage is significant and meaningful. Veteran teams win championships.
