Maybe 12', 13', 16' and 17'. Maybe. 12', 13' and 16' are the only ones I personally might argue for. I'm not a fan of the gonzo years.

People are underrating Hakeem here, but it’s nothing new. 09 and 12 are the only ones i’d really argue for.

I’m pretty high on peak Hakeem

Still. 09,12,13,14,16,17, maybe 18.

2009, 2012 and maybe 2013. Don't think I'd take any other season.

None.

Lebron never carried a team like that and never had the total package on both ends. Olajuwon in 1994 is a top 5 alltime season for me.

The 2018 season exists. LeBron played all 82 regular season games and all 22 postseason games and led a sorry Cavs team to NBA Finals at age 33.

Check Lebron’s defensive metrics that year, they were atrocious.

09 and 10 I think he was just better.

Maybe 12 and 13. Really not high on LeBron’s defense in 2013 and 2014.

Wanna note 93 Hakeem was better than 94 but the answers are all the same.

09-18

Perimeter play is just more valuable

We don't have any evidences of that being true.

The last decade of NBA basketball?

Maybe in fake basketball world before the 3pt line or with the illegal defense world it was opposite but in the current world it certainly seems to be.

Throughout the history, the most impactful players ever has been bigs. Even now we have almost only bigs among MVP candidates.

MVP is a regular season award. The only traditional big since '07 who would be the playoff MVP might be Dirk but even he was relatively perimeter oriented.

Gianni's plays just a much on the perimeter as he does inside and I wouldn't classify him as a traditional big like a Hakeem.

This is basically to what degree do you value LeBron's playmaking and game management skills over Hakeem's defense. Scoring is pretty close to equal outside of 2009 and 2018 where LeBron switched it to a higher degree but there's no doubt his defense fell off in 2018 with that load. 2009 always gets treated like an outlier but it may have been the highest level of bb any perimeter player has ever played along with peak MJ.

I'd say that KG has a very reasonable case for playoffs MVP in 2008. Dwight was close in 2009, so was Duncan in 2013. Jokic is amazing in the playoffs, he just lacks good team around him. Giannis is two-way bigman and even though he drives more than other bigs, he's still inside player.
