He's polishing his game and putting in the work is evident. Field goal % has increased to 42%. Keep it up big guy!

The guy was just the best prospect in that draft, no doubts about it. But yeah, he had to be a dick about being drafted by the Hawks.

Probably the first mistake by Fields here and sorting the mess out later.

Not wanting to be a Hawk was very disappointing. Washington concerns me with all the future picks they have from Phoenix.

Based on my own evals, why would I follow some no name guy on twitter. The defense and athleticism alone was too good to pass up. The playmaking and ability to make 3s at a decent clip none of which those scouts you worship accounted for.

When he adds 30-40 pounds, he could be a premier center in this league. The Wiz draft makes them very dangerous in the division, that is the real kicker.

That quote is from Jonathan Givony, the lead NBA Draft scout from ESPN.

He, in turn, quoted multiple NBA execs and scouts from around the league.

Look, Alex Sarr was on a really hot tear recently. But he's still a very flawed prospect who struggled last season...off the bench...in a much less talented Australian league.

And he's been largely terrible for most of this season.

Serious question: who is the last high level prospect that the Washington Wizards developed from scratch into a meaningful NBA contributor?

This isn't Givony of Draftexpress, he's likely in his office in a ceo role with college interns doing the grunt work...

Wiz Gm is Dawkins probably the youngest one in the league. He's a wildcard, could be really great or bad. He's from the Presti tree, the premier GM so yeah, you can margilize what they do but I've taken notice.

You do realize Sarr has a rookie pg and backcourt mates with Kuzma. Sarr, Bilal, George, and Bub are great pieces going forward in just two drafts. They will spam long skilled players across the board and be a problem in the SE division.

I had Sarr at #1 and Zacc at #2 until about two weeks before the draft.I made the change to Zacc when I saw Sarr's attitude toward Hawks.

Our FO wasn't going to draft Sarr when acted that way.

Exactly.

But, there will be some Hawk fans that think we should have drafted Sarr anyway.

Sarr put the Hawks in a spot even if they wanted Zacc all along, it's never good when draft picks snub you

We just need Zacc to put that talk to bed

There appears to be another ROY contender emerging:
Spoiler:
June 2024:
