I'd take Sarr at #1 just to p!ss off his agent and the Wizards. Make them trade literally anything to get him on draft night.

I'd like to see us have the balls to do it.
Otherwise, drafting Zacch make me very happy.

Clingan is NOT a #1 pick. He will be lucky if MEM takes him at #9

Where did it all go wrong?
Bill Duffy (Sarr's agent) wouldn't be boxing out the Hawks unless it was agreed upon by the player and 'his camp'.
But what kind of maniac maneuvers to get to the Washington Wizards? They've been a dumpster fire for over a decade...

If the Spurs keep 4 and 8 I expect them to end up with two of these players.
Stephon Castle, Tidjane Salaun, or Cody Williams.

If I was SAS I would take Sheppard or Topic and Salaun
Shep / Vassel / Salaun / Sochan / Wemby looks pretty good

Matas has the best chance to be the top player in this draft class. Getting him at #4 would be a solid consolation prize...assuming we picked up a future asset for the trouble of trading out of #1.

Trade back from #1 to #4 and assuming we get a future asset... WTF. We should just stop assuming and trade #1 for #4.
Why do so many people thing that we're going to trade #1 to SAS? #1 for #4 and #8 yeah. #1 for #4 and ATL 2025 FRP no thanks

JJJ has a career average of 5.5 rebounds per game. His career high in a game is 13.
That's not impressive at all.
Yeah. And that is the largest concern for Sarr.
The lack of physicality leads to low rebounding totals, sub par screening, ineffective post play, inconsistent finishing.
His size and man defense will keep him in the league. But he's got to get stronger/tougher.
Can we afford to wait that long?
We should. It's not about just next season, it's also what the long term outlook is. You need to build sustained longevity.
Less about him as one individual, but more about how the totality of the rest of the roster is remade.
It's the same difference when drafting JJ. Some would've taken a low ceiling vet college player instead. Could you imagine 2024 with no JJ in around and the 10th pick instead of pick 1.
Trae as he should asks out and the Hawks are forced to rebuild with SAS having total control of the next 3 drafts.

No expectations in Washington, gets to play a ton of meaningless minutes while trying to be ROY?

Maybe if Sheppard falls but I expect Houston to pick him.
