A little credit to Ray...

You gotta give Ray credit for realizing his slump and not forcing things. He knew he was struggling, so he concentrated on playing D, moving the ball, etc. That's why we need to keep Ray in the game, while Sam is out of the rotation.

If you're not getting it done on one end, you gotta pick it up on the other end and Ray clearly has done that. Let's hope Ray has a better series against the Pistons because we'll definitely need it.

If he is in a shooting slump, that is understandable. That happens to the best of them. But Ray needs to go to the basket and get closer looks. He can't even do that. That's the frustrating part. Also, if he is struggling, he needs to help out in other ways like passing, playing D, and rebounding. He isn't doing that either.

Paul is the truth.......rtg is jumping on whomever is down at the moment.....PP was a loser 2 games ago....now he's a god..now cause Ray is down let's jump on him, it was KG 3 games ago. When we lose, it's neck jump on time, thats all........Ray will be there, he is NOT done......

**** Ray Allen. He is a **** choker. He has gotten worse and worse as the playoffs have gone on. He deserves no credit. If that mucker **** can't make 2 free throws and he shouldn't be on this roster because he hasn't been giving some ****.

All the credit goes to Paul Pierce who stepped up big time. He was amazing. A lot of credit should also go to P.J. Brown. Doc deserves some credit for this game as well.

House hussled like crazy. Rondo choked. KG did his disappearing act in big games again. Perkins was descent at best. Posey was ok.

Pierce carried everyone today.

Why do people keep acting like the Ray situation is some great mystery?

I watch him play these games and can tell you his legs are shot. Just look at him jump, his vertical leap is down about foot from the start of the season. That means flat jumpers, no jumping up to pass out of double teams, and no ability to get his shot off around the rim.

Ray needs rest, but you don't get that in playoff series that run to 7 games.

To his credit, he isn't complaining, isn't whining about being hurt, and is still keeping a defender locked up and away from Paul.

Thanks for the scouting report, reporting on things we can't see on TV. Your report gives me hope that Ray can come around. It is possible that Ray will be so busy chasing Rip Hamilton around that, on offense, Ray may stop thinking and hit some shots.

The family stuff off court seems to be affecting Ray, which is understandable when someone goes to prison for trying to murder your step father.

Some players seem to use the court as a refuge, others dont.

Ray doesn't seem to be, but now that the sentancing is over, he might be able to get his focus back.

Ray has lost some quickness because he can't come around the screens and lose his man. And I agree with another poster that stated Ray isn't elavating as much on his jumper. I think the ankle surgery he had in the off season is effecting his game. It has too. Maybe Doc can limit his minutes to about 30-34 a game and keep him fresher.

Either way, I hope Ray bounces back this series. I even changed my avator. Maybe that can bring him better luck.
