But I was wondering if Ryan Gomes would be someone you could see replacing Posey? He's a 3/4 guy who can average probably 10-13 points, grab boards, play D, and knock down a long jumper. The Cavs are reportedly pursuing him, and I was trying to see who would be the Cavs' competition for Gomes (besides returning to Minnesota).
Gomes does not have long arms and is not a great defender, he can score but has a very differnt game then posey, decent player, a good sub i dont think a great fit for our needs, nor yours, we both need 3 point shooting from the wing spot I dont recall gomes being great from 3
Actually Gomes added the 3 shot and was a very good defender last year. He got overmatched against bigger 4's, but did fine against the 3/4 you guys are looking for.
With MN resigning Craig Smith it is very likely Gomes is gone. I still think the S/t idea of Scal+future 1st for Gomes will be a good deal for both teams.
