Ray Allen made the 2nd round in the west as the 1st option as many times as Garnett did.
Ray Allen made the ECF as the 1st option as many times as Pierce ever did. (he even led the league in Offensive Win Shares that year)
Ray Allen currently has by FAR the best TS% on the team.
Ray Allen scores WITHOUT needing isolations.
Ray Allen has the HIGHEST +/- on the team.
without Ray Allen's 3 pointers, this all of a sudden becomes one of the weakest 3pt shooting teams in the league, especially with Rondo and Tony Allen in the backcourt.
The only thing you can possibly knock ray allen for is being 1 or 2 years older than the other stars. Pierce might make the plays, but Ray gets him the space to do so. Garnett might get the dunks, but it's ray that gives rondo the passing lane to throw those alleyoops. Rondo might get in the lane, but it's Allen that bailes him out so often and pads Rondo's assists stats.
Please, spud, stfu. Ray struggled against the cavs last year in the playoffs, yes. but that's essentially IT. He was only getting like 5 shots in some of the games in that series because rondo was passing up wide open jumpers and killing the celtics' offense.
ray allen was not the 1st option on the bucks, glen dog and cassell shot just as many times
pierce made it to the confrence finals with a terrible supporting cast
the thing about ray allen is, he can do good against bad defences, but when there are good defensive teams he really struggles(only a couple good defensive teams, but they are the top teams-cavs-spurs..), which is expected but pp can score other ways by getting to the line and creating.
ray allen 1 on 1 defence is also the weakest on the C's
