I really think Brown is going to get an all-NBA spot this year, and the Celts will sign him accordingly. I also feel that our top seven, Brown, Smart, Tatum, Rob, Big Al, White and Brogdon will not even be considered in a trade. I think Muscala's option will be picked up, Kornet's contract will be guaranteed, Gallo will pick up his option, and Hauser will be deemed not available unless an extreme overpay from someone. That's 11 spots.
The final four roster spots and three two-ways are up in the air. We have many pieces that could fit, and bring different things to the team.
G. Williams (probable resign but also S&T possibility)
Griffin (would like to see him back)
Pritchard (probable trade)
Champagnie (regular roster spot or two-way possibility)
Kabengele (would have to be regular roster spot, no two-way available)
Davison (possibile taking Pritchard's spot if traded)
Begarin
Madar
Kissoonlal (from Maine Celtics two-way possibility)
2nd round pick 33
any other undrafted player available
I think Grant needs to be resigned, then traded, along with Pritchard and a pick or two for a starting PF to pair with Rob, to allow big Al to come off the bench more.
Maybe something like:
Resigned Grant (4 for 40 -48), Pritchard and a 1st for either Marvin Bagley Jr. or Wendell Carter. Wishful thinking, right?
