I think ppl are right to be a little worried about them winning now. You gotta factor in that teams are gonna go full tank in the 2nd half.
I'm curious what happens, but you've gotta factor in the possibility that they end up selling off their guys as well. Even Billy's gotta realize that trying to recruit FAs to a 29 win team is a lost cause, right? An outside guy would come in and sell everything off, I reckon. Just not sure on The Kingmaker.
Starting to officially worry about the Pels. Awful coach and they've dug a massive hole. Gotta be appetizing to add a lotto pick to AD.
King already made phone calls to gauge value of his assets after their disastrous start. I think what he discovered was that only two players on his roster (Lopez,Young) had any tangible value. Young could probably get you distant protected (like Jeff Green) and Lopez is probably worth two protected first rounders (maybe a little more than we got for Rondo). That's probably not going to be enough for Brooklyn to pull the trigger unless Prok wants to cut salary which is doubtful.
If I was Ainge I would get on the phone to Billy King and tell him that he would be willing to come in as a third team to incentivize Brooklyn with a future 1st in a deal to move Lopez or Young to another team for future assets.
I don't think the Nets consider moving either Brook or Thad for future picks at this point. Unless they are terrified that Brook's right foot is about to explode it's not really a sell-high time for either of them.
Brook is having the worst shooting season of his career and is confirming the rap on him - that he can't function as a true #1 option offensively.
Thad is having a career year on the boards and wowing people in the post, but he's never been less of a threat from outside of the paint - a pathetic 1 of 12 from deep on the year and totally ignored on the perimeter. If they want to move on from him for a pick or two, they should still be able to get the same offers at the draft without having to turn the PG position over to dead ends like Bargs and T-Rob for the rest of the year.
The guy most likely to be moved is Bogey. I think they are showcasing him right now in hopes that his shooting buoys. But if his shooting improves they'd mostly likely want to keep him anyways.
The only other deals available to them are swapping deck chairs between the Titanic and Lusitania (Jack for Vasquez?), trading RHJ (which BK has already indicated he won't do) or absorbing bad salary for pick compensation, which they won't do so long as they hold out hope for 2016 free agency (the real reason ditching D-Will was prioritized over booting Joe).
I do expect Billy to get canned in the offseason

and the new GM (I'm thinking local boy Chris Mullin gets offered a huge ransom to leave St John's to be a coach/GM) to pick his guy between Thad and Brook and move the other to bring in some new players.
