When we traded for Garnett he was a Top 5 NBA player and a Top 3 charismatic player in the game, we only had PP, Ray, a talented big man(with a glaring hole in his game) and a bunch of scrubs, we needed KG like AIR. Now we need a piece BUT we are in the position to wait until a big fat occasion come along, why hurry? Our oldest bulding block is 1 year older than Kawhi and 2 years older than AD, also Kawhi hasn't become a star until his 4th/5th year, Jaylen is in thye same path with similar qualities, there's no reason to trade, we can simply wait until AL's contyract come off the books and sign another MAX player (since all of our 4 top player will be under the same contract they have now).
That’s only true if Kyrie opts in which would mean he is hurt or something. I do kind of like the idea of keeping the team intact. I’m a homer though I’ll always like what we do and convince myself it’s good just like the Tatum trade. Especially with the track record. If it doesn’t work I’ll make excuses lol
