EDIT: White is at 42% in his last 8 games. Hoping that trend continues into the playoffs.

I love it when Proof of what I said all year long comes to fruition. Shooting %s increase greatly with more continued "real" playing time. All year long some posters claimed PP and Nemith can't shoot.. PP-Nesmith- Hauser should, I pray, be unleashed next year.

Better ball movement second half of the season -- crisper, timelier passing -- has helped too. But that's just my opinion. I have no objective way to prove that shooting % is better coming from multiple swings or drive-and-kicks than via single-pass possessions (unless the passer is Lebron, Luka, or Harden).

I doubt it; I suspect he will wind up on some higher-priced version of the Larry Nance deal, like 4 years, $56M or something like that. He's versatile and young but a very limited player ultimately - low volume shooters who don't create for others ultimately have some level of a cap on what the market pays for them. Guys like Ingles, McDermott, and the DFS contract are likely where his comps will be.
Personally though, I'd bet on Grant with that deal. I think he has good vision generally and if he can keep working on his handle I think his assists/playmaking will pick up.

So you don't think he'll make $15-20 million, but instead will make more than $14 million?

Yeah I think his market is pretty much right on where DFS signed, plus a tiny bit given his youth. Look if you HAD to stretch and give him $15M, you probably do it, but hard for Grant to argue getting much more than Timelord honestly when you look at their value, even knowing bigs are discounted on the market.
