I don't think anyone expected the 2nd year of Kyrie to unfold the way it did, from what I heard year 1 was fine and everyone knew the end game (Kyrie/Horford/Hayward/AD)...by year 2 Kyrie changed and while Horford put up with Kyrie's crap all year and he didn't want to play with him again his time was over.
Even after knowing Kyrie was going I don't think he saw the avenue for a chance at a championship and then we told him to take a paycut even though he's been our best player the last 3 years....

He overvalues himself and so does the rest of the NBA, I'm fine without paying him

Oh me too, I'm more upset about Baynes than anyone else TBH.

That just upsets me so much.

Man I was worried about this, pisses me off. Maybe going a bit too far with the jumping in the fire Danny camp in my rant, but I was okay losing Al if it was mutual, not psyched if we pissed him off.

Sorry we couldn’t get that last shamrock Al.

I said before that I’m sad to see Al go but that ultimately I’m okay with this. My only caveat to this is that I truly hope DA didn’t play any games with Horford regarding the restructuring of a new deal after giving him any false sense that a deal would be done if he opted out. If for any reason it comes out later that Danny **** with Al in this process beyond reasonable negotiation, I will firmly move into the fire DA group.

I may be inventing something that doesn’t exist, but the speed at which things went from ‘Al’s opting out and signing a team friendly deal’ to ‘Al’s signing a four year deal with another team’ leaves me feeling unsettled for some reason. There’s also just part of me that worries sometimes that Danny needs to feel like he’s won a deal rather than just made a deal, regardless of any collateral damage.

I'm totally fine with it, as a matter of fact I'm honestly happy for Horford. The guy deserves to go compete somewhere, I don't even care where.

The Celtics are a humongous question mark right now. He can do a lot better for himself, both in terms of situation and apparently money too.

Yeah I agree, my point more basically was I hope we didn’t do anything to offend the first major free agent signing we’d had in years on his way out the door. Celtics IMO have a perception issue to work on after last years dumpster fire.
“There’s a sense of pride, there’s an edge you have to have to play here. I can only imagine the love, the reception, if you hung one of those banners up. It would be incredible — it’s going to be incredible. I know it.” —Jayson Tatum

Leak to the media that they're going to get Giannis. Get no one again. Rinse. Repeat.

It'd be stunning if either of those players signed anywhere for the vet min. So what if you can't 'call it a day'?

Trade or buy out? Only meant Vonlah for the vet minimum, Looney with the 9 mil we have from the Kemba/Rozier trade.

Can only get a player you traded a year to the date of the trade.

I'm sure we will still be looking for a center by then so we have a shot! :banghead: :banghead:

Some are intimating that trade was never really announced/finalized/could be reworked -- don't know if that holds any water though.

I really have a solution at C and no one thought of it... Tanya Hardings ex and his friend.

s/n: Knicks trying to pick up all the bottom tier leftover bigs so we can't get one. look for them to go after all bigs left out there next.
